Re: Interesting Cosworth Auction
I always thought the Sierra Cossie was a terrible looking car Looks better in the darker colours. £65k for an imported car with 100k on the clock

Re: Teh Spotted Thread
Spotted one of these beauties on the M6 in the week, in this colour. What a thing the behold - despite the sunshine, the roof remained on.

I've now seen 13 series of It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia and I'm still not sure if I actually enjoy it.

Re: Anyone big in Crypto?
I thought the point was to get a new currency and remove world banking so the fatcat$ can't profit from me and the government spys don't know I'm spending all my money on cheap lager and foreign porn?

That is FG and I'm extremely envious.
What happened to the old Exige? If only I'd known you were selling

Re: Anyone big in Crypto?
I know a few who are into it, nothing big, just for a few quid. Most have done OK out of it, but nothing life changing.
Talk of £300k+ Bitcoin by the end of the year seems fanciful, but who knows. I still struggle to see it being widely accepted due to its association with crime.

Re: Your fleet running reports
Up GTi had the 3year/30k service, only 8 months after the last service, I'm piling on the miles. It's been running 0w20 oil, which must be like water. I thought this was a bit too thin (economy over longevity, probably) but the specialist confirmed it's definately still what VW recommend so that's g...

Re: Lotus Elise Club Racer
Prices for cars should start to fall slightly over the year, shirley? Private market opening up, end of the furlough, people able to spend on holidays/pubs/hospitality again... At least thats my hope. Car prices are nuts at the moment. Elise going out of production - all Final Edition cars sold out...

Re: Your fleet running reports
Thinking about Golf R32 and Mk2 TT 3.2 Not really worth £565 RFL really TBH Shame You can get both pre-06 with lower tax rates though? I bought Ste's old 3.2 TT and it wasn't in the 500 bracket. But on the whole it's a pain. Lots of interesting old cars with big engines but it's a big chunk of chan...

Re: Your fleet running reports
That looks great in black. I parked next to a GT4C a while back (pre-facelift FF?) and they are indeed, huge. She was parked right up against the boards at the back and still poked out past the space. Lovely looking things in the metal https://pbs.twimg.com/media/D_dkJ5LXUAQqGvC?format=jpg&name=...

Re: Lotus Elise Club Racer
The key is to leave the Elise at home in the garage when you need to go down the motorway on a winter's night. I think I need to explain myself better ;) I'm not suggesting slogging down the MWay there and back - more that I'd occasionally visit someone/somewhere and take the interesting rout...

Re: Lotus Elise Club Racer
I know this is all very relative - it's an Elise, not a Merc - but how do you find it in terms of refinement compared to the S1? Going down the motorway on a winters night in an S1 was always a miserable experience of noisy, droneyness with clonky suspension paired with a crappy heater and a sill di...

Re: Your fleet running reports
If only LC500's were cheaper, this would be an easy decision. They dont seem to have depreciated at all over the last year or so :( They've stayed resolutely above 50k for the last 18months. I expected the 2017 models to start to fall as the warranties expired...but nope. Lexus do really, really ch...

Re: Your lockdown purchases.
Sonos Beam for downstairs+TV, and a Sonos 1 for upstairs. Seriously iimpressed with both and love the whole setup.
Also bought a 144Hz monitor. Don't really game much these days but loving the smoothness for everything. Using 60Hz hurts my eyes with its jankyness.

Re: Your fleet running reports
Absolutely piling the miles recently on the Up - just about to hit 20k, and due another service after only being serviced 7 months ago. Still not sure whether to replace it with something better suited the miles (Giulia Veloce is the only thing that appeals) or buy a second car instead. I know if I ...

Re: Your fleet running reports
Lots of Evora and Exiges suffer headlight issues with the surface cracking and “peeling”. Particularly over the black sections. https://tlf.s3.amazonaws.com/tlf/forums/aws_uploads/monthly_2016_04/571a1131713af_Headlight1.jpg.938c851351191cc38e9f1c8ea4aec63e.jpg I thought that was a pic of my old on...

Re: For Sells Lotus Elise S1
8 hour train ride for me. Looks great. I am still floating between a Caterham, Elise & Cayman. The latter makes more sense I think from a usability perspective but from an event side it's definitely left to right :D Not wanting to sound like a stuck record but the Evora is a great middle ground...
