Re: Ross Scott's stopkillinggames.com campaign

Their arguement has always been that you never really "own" a game or movie if you read the T&C's And it's fairly rare shutting down servers impacting games - in most cases they usually patch out the online requirement. Ubisoft and EA are notorious for being cunts with this though, so ...

Bullet bitten Haha - go big or go home 8-) PSVR2 will get official compatibility with the PC toward the end of the year too, which is nice. It's a great headset. What’s it like wearing VR headsets with glasses? It's OK - there's room between eyes and VR lenses, but I kept having the issue where my ...

Re: Cholestorol and heart disease.

And yes, been told the same as Mike - Salt and Sugar are the two things that are very, very bad. There was a thread on Twitter about diets; 50+ years ago the diets were "bad" in terms of high fat, high carb, high calories (meats, potatoes etc) but people were more active, they ate less pro...

Re: Cholestorol and heart disease.

After a mate of mine did a blood pressure test because his parents had one lying around, then found out his was through the roof and ended up with an emergency appointment (and is now on meds) it got me thinking I needed to check mine as it's been 10 years and borrowed my parents. The anxiety kicked...

Symptoms, just looked like a normal bite, then a big red bullseye rash appeared on my thigh and now I've got quite a collection of them :| A collection? So the little fella had a few meals? Or bought the family? I mean, at least you'll get 5/5 on TickAdvisor. "Great vintage - would latch onto ...

Re: Your fleet running reports

Just clocked over 55k now on the best car I've owned. 6 years old, never failed to start, thrown an error light or broken down - other than oil changes (and a few tyres thanks to potholes) its still as it left the factory, brake pads, bulbs, battery and all. If you need an entertaining little city r...

Re: Spotted - Clio and Evo sticker

I might be going too far back but there was "BigWillyOwner" who had a Clio Williams. Can't remember the guys name, he rocked up to a few meets. Mark ? https://i.ibb.co/0GX71gS/UNTITL16.jpg That's the fella. Found a really old picture. IIRC he was an absolute nutter behind the wheel http:/...

I had the GTi version of this - good car, reliable, always worked, solid. Very "Meh" but as a first car, fine.

Re: FTAO EV owners - possible action required before end of March-24

The tax breaks for EV's were always going to come to an end once they started to notice the dent in the coffers as more and more made the switch... Problem is that it makes EV's less and less appealing due to cheaper costs initally being the major draw; the increased initial price over ICE (although...

Re: Cayman/Boxter RIP.

Those sales figures are genuinely surprising re 911 to Boxster/Cayman ratio. I'd love to be a fly on the wall at these car companies who over the last 5-10 years or so are having to do so much more in the way of software development, UI design and all the security considerations that come with it. ...

Re: Selling Cars Privately

I've lowballed people - but I usually do it early doors so not to waste their time, and also with reason; like giving comparitive dealer prices, what it's worth p/x and how I've settled on it where I am. I've had it work in the past, and in fact, very recently (although I still rejected the car!) Bu...

Re: Cayman/Boxter RIP.

Some of the requirements that the EU are imposing sound absolutely insane to me for this UNECE WP.29. From https://www.carmagazine.co.uk/car-news/motoring-issues/cybersecurity/ "Of course, most cars have multiple users over the course of their life and WP.29 seeks to ensure that there is no pos...

Re: Your fleet running reports

You all running a tyre shop? How often are you pumping up tyres that necessitates expensive battery ones?

Double-barrelled £15 pump I've had for the last 8 years for the odd times every 6-8 weeks I need to put 2 psi in the near-side rear.
