Re: Your fleet running reports

I had forgotten how much I hate driving in rush hour. 10 min journey is 40. Discovered a few months back that with the E-tron - set the adaptive cruise to 50mph (or any random high speed), and set the distance you want. The car will then stop in traffic, trundle along whenever the car in front move...

Mik's top travel tips - shaving oil

You've probably already forgotten about using hand/body/whatever moisturiser if your hotel/hostel/parkbench doesn't stock hair conditioner (note: not applicable to baldybastards), but I forgive you. My next top tip relates to Shaving Oil. (Note: not applicable to beardybastards). I don't use this at...

Re: Wells Vertige

I like the Autocar week in motoring podcast, plus they've had May and Harris as guests so it's not always just Prior and Cropley. Not listened to all of them yet though. As for the Vertige, selling 50 seems a very pragmatic aim. That's £50k times 50, so £2.5m total revenue. Deduct the VAT and it' a...

Nice. Also lots to do in Aviemore just down the road (quad biking is good, deer feeding out of your hands, horse riding, aerial adventure course, clay pigeon shooting etc etc). Loch Morlich has canoes, kayaks, etc etc.

I don't necessarily disagree with that.

More pics on their website.

Circa £50k as Zed notes
208bhp
6-speed manuel
850kg

Those side windows look rubbish.

Wells Vertige

https://www.autocar.co.uk/car-news/new-cars/british-built-wells-vertige-arrive-mid-2023-208bhp Now Lotus has stopped making the Elise - could this fill the gap for some? I’m not sold on the looks personally, although I guess the gullwing doors will make ingress/egress easier than the Elise/Exige - w...

Re: Your fleet running reports

Driving home in the Up late on Friday, as I got upto speed I wasn't able to select 5th or 6th gear, with lots of resitance...thining "oh fuck" I slowed a bit, went into 3rd, then tried to get 4th and that felt difficult too. Panicking, I pulled over, looked down....and it turns out as I'd...

Re: The Watches Thread

Someone selling a purchased-new-Dec22 Grand Seiko SBGE257 for £3200 on the Chris Ward forum. Seems like a chunky saving. A mate is interested, do you have a link? (or he can go looking) Link below, but I am not sure you will be able to view it? The forum lock access to the sales area for anyone wit...

Not a bad idea, but the plate curves so that pulsar work. Weirdly however I have posted the same Q on the Lotus forum, and had just added a comment suggesting that they might work better montes on the rear of the ply th for the plate, peering over the top.of the plate I'll have what you're drinking...

As mentioned previously - whilst the HID lights on the Evora are good (particularly since I upgraded to the Osram Nightbreaker HID bulbs) you can never have enough light for night driving - particularly when pressing on a bit. You can now get some really tidy “motorcycle” LEDs though. Stedi make som...

@V8Granite

These arrived today (although typically I could really have used them on Saturday! . Look nicely put together and jaws look suitably chunky & aggressive - thanks again. 8-)
