Re: Porsche can’t deliver new cars in the UK

Re: The Movie Thread
I wouldn’t say she was past it. Certainly age appropriate versus Christian Bale and Aaron Eckhart. Just not as pretty as the script suggested.

Re: The Movie Thread
I was kind of curious about JL's and your opinion about his Batman movies considering your rarely stated opinions about superhero stuff. The Dark Knight is in my top 5 all time favourite films but I think The Prestige is probably my favourite film. I'm definitely going to rewatch all of his films t...

People that are full of shit
Neighbours of ours. She (y/y/y) works in a health spa, he’s a teacher. They own a house in our street that they rent out and live in another. She told us that they weren’t sending their eldest child to the same high school that ours goes to because “we’re not middle class, it would betray our workin...

Porsche can’t deliver new cars in the UK
So my mate is awaiting the handover of his new Macan, and, despite it being delivered to the dealer last week and being fully prepped, his dealer contacted him yesterday (a day before the planned pickup) to say they had an issue and there was going to be an unspecified delay. After 24 hours of badge...

Re: The Movie Thread
I think the The Dark Knight is better than Interstellar or Inception and I don’t really do superhero movies.

I realise that trying to educate Dinny is, in itself, a fools effort, however:

Re: The Movie Thread
There’s a few covers of the Interstellar soundtrack played on church organs on YouTube that are brilliant. In an interview Zimmer talks about the organ breathing and therefore sounding like a human voice in many ways. There’s a great section where the notes you hear are actually the absence of notes...

Ready Player One Overworn “going an a quest whilst finding personal growth” trope with a side dish of not-so-hidden moral message, all topped with a garnish of the good guy will always get the girl. Nicely made, enjoyed spotting many of the references (but probably missed loads), my 13 year old enj...

Brundles comments about oil pouring out the back of the Ferraris in Bahrain may be determinative though if they start to suffer reliability issues. Isn't this just Ferrari getting around the fuel regs by burning a little oil with the fuel to make more power. It's definitely deliberate and not knack...

Re: The Watches Thread
I think Breitlings are repulsive and the people who like them are automatically cunts. Nothing personal :) My mate who bought the Daytona above has a Breitling, which I described as "exactly the kind of watch an RS4 owner would buy", mainly because he bought it when he had his RS4. He has...
