Re: Decent car YouTubes

There's a downside to fitting all that 4wd kit in a small car - the boot is only 174 litres. A VW Up's boot is 250 litres! They should have left out the rear seats like a Mini GP. At least the seats are available for use if required, and you can always put luggage on the back seat if necessary - wi...

Re: Just when you thought BMW couldn’t get any worse....

The only positive I ever saw with electric cars was that the bonnet line would drop and they would look sleek and aerodynamic. This doesn’t seem to make any difference to BMW ? Dave! I've tried to be positive about battery powered vehicles, but I always end up seeing the negative side. I feel my in...

What colour did you go for? 8-)
Miami Blue, which I understand is being replaced by another blue now. Oh well, at least it won't be too commonplace.

Good call. I'm loving what I've read about this car so far. If circumstances dictated we had to go from two cars to one, this is probably the one we'd choose. (Not that my missus has heard of them yet).

I'd wear a tuxedo to the pub and order a bottle of Bollinger, but I don't own a tux and they don't stock Bollinger. RIP.

Re: Aston Martin’s Mercedes Deal & Q3 2020 Results

As regards the DBX I'm a little indifferent towards very fast 4x4s. I couldn't put my finger on exactly why until I was following a tatty old Disco the other day. On the back was a sticker stating 'You can go fast, but I can go anywhere', which kind of sums it up really. The DBX will surely not be a...

I seem to recall that in Hamilton's contract there's a right of veto if Merc want to sign someone he wouldn't like as a team mate. i.e. Verstappen

My current 981 GTS passed its MOT with no issues yesterday, but the intermediate service bumped the bill up to £1018.01p.

Nice motor. A classic case of seeming almost compact now, whereas originally I thought they were huge. BTW if that's you in the top photo you are much younger than I imagined.

I assured my missus that the time saved car washing and reduced outlay on cleaning materials means the car quickly pays for itself compared with a 992. ;) More importantly a Cayman easily fits my garage and a 992 wouldn't.

It's a Cayman GTS 4.0 which has a few desirable extras included as you'll be aware, but apart from that mine will be pretty poverty spec. compared with most. Apart from Miami Blue paint at about £1600  , the only other things I've spent on are front and rear parking sensors, (it will be in a ...
