Re: Test drive report

With a massive amount of experience (probably 100 miles between them) the 997 felt far more flat and less playful than the 996.

What about a good 996 Turbo, although the turbo running costs are a step up from a regular Carrera.

Re: It’s time for another forum cycle/vehicle disagreement

The LFB one I'm coming around to the cyclists POV on this. He's somewhat self-righteous about the situation, however, the LFB vehicle did cross a giveaway line into the path of a more vulnerable road user. I fully acknowledge that the LFB vehicle had trouble seeing the cyclist who was in the blind ...

Re: Mouse hunting

We used bait and a big bugger of a spring.

Leave the body for a while to deter any brave ones.

Wipe blood over cheeks, roar in the garden in pants with the mouse head as a new hat.

Problem solved.

Re: Your fleet running reports

The ML died on the wife when at my parents house.

Lots of faffing as I’m away with work, recovered to a trusted garage and it’s the fuel pump fuse. All working fine now but will need some investigating and most likely a preventative new pump will be going on.

Re: State of the Roads

I drove back from Oxford to London this morning and there was a council worker with his spray can out marking areas for repair not far from where I live. It was tempting to say to tell him to draw a line across the road where he was stood and another by the roundabout 400m away as the whole road ne...

I didn’t mean new to you, I meant as in such a new car in age.

There is such a big amount to choose from at least.

Re: Test drive report

What’s the need for a new car ?

Tax reasons or just wanting a shiny new thing, I get all of them so I’m not being a dick.

What about a Cantage a few years old, bit of an event, more fun at lower speeds maybe and gorgeous looking.

Re: Cholestorol and heart disease.

It’s horses for courses isn’t it. I’m the opposite, felt much better after cutting out meat. Less lethargic and my digestion’s better. Exactly, my sister survives on salads and fish but I’d need to eat 6 big meals a day to be able to do my job. Plus I put on a huge amount of weight and look puffy. ...

Re: Harry’s Garage

I looked at a couple in 2005 when I bought my E46 M3 for £17,500. £15k would have bought a decent C2 and £25k would have bought an RS ☹️ They all leaked oil and few had air conditioning so never going to be as usable daily! I’m pretty sure they were cheap at the time as they lacked oil like mad and...

I hadn't noticed that! It also logs cumulative time played and I was quite embarrassed to see I'd already clocked up 17 hours :? Re: Cholestorol and heart disease.

That's odd. Are there any specific vegetables that make them worse? Anything else that triggers the joint pains? Is it all joints or just certain joints? And is it joints or more muscle aches? Some veg contain solenins (spelling?) which has a weak link to inflammatory arthritis (in rat work, I don'...

The carnivore diet is an odd one, the carnivore side and the lion side are very different and the amounts you eat seem to be very different too.
