Re: Decent Recent TV

Yeah I'd imagine even movie star money won't get them to the premier league, it's nice for people to see the stuff going on behind the scenes that most would never be aware of. Hopefully a couple more seasons at least, Wrexham have had a great start to the season in league two. My friends family hav...

Re: Decent Recent TV

First episode of the new season of the Wrexham football thing has come out on Disney, first season was surprisingly great, this one has started off well so looking forward to it again, shame it's only one new episode a week.

Re: Your fleet running reports

Managed to pick up a tiny stone chip on the way down to the New Forest in the Kuga on Monday, which has now developed into a massive crack  Not even done 1800 miles yet FFS. Has to go in to Autoglass next Thursday for it replacing, they can't do it anywhere as it has to have all the ADAS stuff...

Re: Undergoing recalibration.

I had a very similar experience going from my old inherited Onkyo 5.1 amp and basic tiny speakers, to a new Yamaha amp and Celestion glass floor standers and matching surround set I found on market place ridiculously cheap. Although obviously nowhere near the quality of Miks, it's amazing how much c...

Re: Real Housewife of Cheshire

Yeah it's weird getting out of the Kuga into the XF, it feels like you're sat on the floor.

The engine in this Velars can be made to make some silly power if you get bored of it!

They're a lot more car like to drive than the RR or RRS, like a jacked up XFR.

Re: Existing Solar Panels on a house?

They don't allow buy outs of the panels, which seems an odd business model. You can pay something daft like 15k for an early termination, but that seems daft if your getting cheaper electric. The big issue seems to be mortgages, and pigeons nesting. I'd be tempted to just go for it, but they are ver...

Re: Existing Solar Panels on a house?

I've been on the phone to my mum for the last half hour and they're going to leave it, too much hassle. They want an easy move, I'd guess it's stressful enough moving 30 years of stuff without added complexities. Thanks for advice all, if I was looking I'd probably go for it, as it's a lovely house,...

Re: Existing Solar Panels on a house?

It lists a freehold for the house, a freehold and lease hold for the airspace above it? I don't think they will move again, they certainly don't plan to, they have been where they are for 31 years, but you never know what might happen, and although they won't have any issues as they won't have a mor...

Re: Existing Solar Panels on a house?

Yep that seems to be the case. It started in 2014 and goes to 2039, they plan on living there the rest of their lives, and my mum is 58, so we're a bit concerned about what would happen after the lease is up, or if the company go bust. From what I can gather, if the panels needed to come off for roo...

Re: Existing Solar Panels on a house?

I've told them to get the full contract from the seller, the house was the seller's parents who are deceased, probate cleared now etcs, but the roof situation seems very odd.

It's even listed as two addresses on the .gov site, one for the house, and one for the air space above it!

Zonda_ wrote: Tue Aug 29, 2023 9:12 pm Eh? The company that installs the panels doesn't own them. We've changed companies a couple of times.
They certainly do for these ones!

I can't see any good outcome from this, so unless there's granite proof it ok, they need to leave it.

Existing Solar Panels on a house?

My parents have found a lovely house at the coast they like, they want to downsize and retire somewhere quiet and the house looks great, and is in a lovely area, but.. It has solar panels from a company called Shades Greener, and from what I can find it looks like the house is cheap dues to this. Th...

Re: My clean licence

That's a result! I got caught on road past driffield where biker cafe is when I was dropping my S60 off to trade it for the XF. Line of cars sat behind a tractor, no one making a move, so I took all 6 as it was clear, I was rounding the last car before the tractor when I saw the van hiding in the bu...

Detachable ones are just as good as fixed, my D3 had a detachable one fitted, iirc was rated for 3500kg and 125kg noseweight.

Re: Your fleet running reports

I fitted a fixed one to the V60, but I thought the S60 would have looked daft with it poking out the back all the time so went for a detachable one.

Been looking for one for the Kuga, looks like they're over 1200 quid fitted for the electric deployable one!

Waiting for them to turn up in breakers 😂

Re: Your fleet running reports

Tow bars are nice easy to fit. On something newer its pretty common once you've fitted it, if using plug and play wiring looms that the car will need coding, so don't panic if you plug it in and nothing works! Even my old S60 needed me to change config file in VIDA so it went into trailer DSTC, and ...

Re: Your fleet running reports

Kuga was delivered today, was amazing how dirty a brand new car was, took a good 4 Hours of cleaning before I could ceramic coat it. Done a grand total of 2 miles on petrol, rest on electric, unless you floor it it does it's best to use the electric, it's very smooth. Handles pretty well for a tall ...

Re: Courtesy Car Lottery

Bumping this for @nuttinnew but also because I have a discourtesy car today; my Allroad is being serviced. It's a brand new Audi Q2 30TSI manual S-line. I may be one of the first people to drive it because switching between menus on the MMI gave me messages about how to zoom the nav map which look ...
