Re: EV Thread
And totally relies on you being able to park on the road outside your house. Imagine how territorial people will get then?

Ironically when I did a frame-by-frame analysis he did actually jump the first start.

LOL, it's not a fucking turing test  Not at all, but it’s certainly showing how pointless Captcha is.. Two years ago it was complicated and expensive to build an ML platform to interpret Captchas. It's not any more. That's all it is. Captchas like that have _always_ been easy to overcome by so...

The only 1 thing that Musk ever did right in his whole privileged life was banning TLAs from Tesla.
We use them all the time at work, and unfortunately they often have more than one meaning and it's hard knowing what they're ever talking about.

I think I saw Wile E. Coyote do something similar. It didn't turn out to well for him.

Great vid! If only we had a thread of just Harry's Garage videos. I think I'll start one.

Re: Harry’s Garage
I've glossed through the video, don't really wish to listen to 28 minutes of talk about how shit EVs are <snip> It's really not that Mito. Don't forget, Harry ran an EV and a PHEV and nearly bought another PHEV. He likes EVs. This video is just about why it's not right for him right now and why the...

Re: Harry’s Garage
Fascinating video. Very honest perspective on EVs and hybrids alike. And I'm glad there is someone out there properly documenting how fast charging, charging to 100% etc etc affects battery health. The fact is that anyone who's been around batteries for a while has known this. It's why I don't charg...

Re: Food in Covent Garden ??
I’ve never been to Hawksmoor and it’s probably overpriced and not as good as it used to be, but I’d be tempted to try it. The one at Seven Dials is convenient. Whenever I'm taking a client to dinner I try to take them to the one next to our office in Soho. It's worth the money to my taste buds. Blo...

Re: Range Rover.
The other thing is that the start button is just a 'button' that slots into the regular ignition slot. Indeed, when I bought the car it was even missing, so I just used the regular key to start it. I bought the button online for about £20 and it just slots in - no coding or anything. I was aware of...

Re: Range Rover.
My Mercs implementation of keyless is interesting. Firstly, you can disable it with a double press of the lock button on the remote, which I always do unless I'm going into the supermarket and know I'll come out with my hands full and want to 'kick' under the rear bumper to open the boot. The other ...

I'm sure most of you probably have seen it already, but I just have to post AutoTop's 9ff vid:
That last couple of minutes has Max also bouncing out of his seat in excitement. I've never seen a car pile on speed so quickly - insane!

Re: Car insurance
My wife's renewal is up and she's gone from @550 to @950, again another year of no-claims etc etc. Two things pushing hers up, (apart from the norm of accident repair garages and credit hire companies both ripping off insurance companies, thus increasing their costs generally) - she has more years n...
