Re: First Cars - Insurance

Try a Citroen C1, Skoda Citigo or Seat Mii. Tried the Mii and that came in at 2.8k as well. I started messing with other potential variables, excess, cover level (TPF&T always used to be about 50% cheaper and I figured maybe a £500 snotter for a year on TPF&T cover might be a good idea) dri...

Re: New E53 AMG

I think I read on Boatshoes that its 350kg heavier than its predecessor and as a result of it has slower acceleration. But at least it's not a 4 banger. Have yet to see the now not so new C63! I've seen a not-so-new C63, but it was at the Merc dealership parking lot back in January. I guess that do...

Re: The House Projects Thread

lol, how on earth do you know that?! Its April to August thankfully! I've had clients say their demolition has been delayed for a year due to missing the bat survey window - it sticks in the mind  Have found other advice that says Phase 2 surveys must be between May-September and there must be...

New E53 AMG

No, not for me, yet. My love for the E53 is well documented, but the that was a previous gen. Now they've launched the new one. It's basically a straight 6 (again) but this time mated to the C/S E-performance electric setup bolted on (rather than the previous clever electric turbo whatsit) - which i...

^^ I use this stuff - it's ace.

Just remember to wash with something else after to get this off. (Something like stick stuff remover remover).

Re: Randomness

This isn't the first time is it? I remember a similar story before that turned out to be BS when the driver claimed the accelerator was stuck down when it really wasn't.

Re: Mesh wifi

Matty is right - Wifi 5 is plenty fast enough for the end devices but I'm interested in whether these meshes use 6/6E/7 etc as the 'backhaul' between nodes - it would make sense if they separated radio duties like that (assuming that you don't have a hard-wired backhaul).

Re: Euromillions immediate purchase

Maybe better to buy the houses for family, but keep them in some tax efficient vehicle so they don’t own them but live there mortgage-free and only have to pay bills? This is what we need to do for my mother-in-law. We want to make sure she's well housed without actually giving her a house (less sh...

Re: Euromillions immediate purchase

I think what money really 'buys' you is more free time and the removal of stresses. Like others with kids, we couldn't just move anywhere, but we'd immediately go and get my wife and I new cars, throw in the job, then start to hire people to free up our time. So a chef, a gardener, a housekeeper, e...

What I did was buy a multi-tool, used that to trim the ragged bits then sand back and stained with ebony Rustins wood stain. Multi-tools rule 8-) - what did you get ??? I bought one of these... https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B07VS3L6JV/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_image?ie=UTF8&psc=1 https:...

Can anyone think of another channel that's squandered it's viewers loyalty this badly,? I barely remember Binky being a thing nowadays.
