Re: Today’s want
So, my wife has a peculiar view on this. The 7 was a sensible car bought for a specific purpose and now that I no longer need it she thinks the answer is to simply get rid of it, not change it for a different, more expensive, less reliable car that I need even less. OTOH, when you put it like this: ...

Re: New car buying advice type thread
Excellent choice with the Vantage and I suspect you’ll find the Golf rather good as a sensible utility car.

How did you get to the MOT history ? The website's not recognising the reg for me.
Oh, OK, there's old versions floating around:

Re: Today’s want
I have a growing, nagging feeling that I'm going to end up switching the 7-Series for a Continental. I bought the 7 for commuting but that's just soooooo 2020 now. I can't see myself doing that again so the (relatively) good fuel consumption doesn't matter any more. Keep the luxury but add a regular...

And on the 996 & Cayenne it's literally a 30-second job to remove the headlight. Release a catch and it slides out.

Japanese Engineering
I spent a couple of hours yesterday swearing at my neighbour's Honda CR-V. Despite what you f**kers think, I'm actually quite a nice person and I offered to help them out by fitting a new alternator to their car while they're away visiting family up North. Disconnect aux belt and the three bolts hol...

Re: L322 or Disco 3??
V10 Touareg. Mine was great. As a useful vehicle as opposed to looking nice or having an excuse to say “Porsche” in conversation it was better than the Cayenne.

Re: Your fleet running reports
Dry joint on one of the solenoids ? E36s suffer the same thing.
Cayenne update - tracking done and a trip to Towcester for a shakedown gave the best ever fuel consumption of 27.4mpg. Coincidence ? It had barely beaten 25 before.

Re: Brannigans crisps
If we're doing a recommend-a-crisp thread, I'll chip in (geddit ??) with the Co-op Sea Salt Chardonnay Wine Vinegar crisps. A good hard vinegar kick.

Buried under the M3*. That's why nobody has spotted the shallow grave.
