Re: Test drive report

I had this one time with an MOT - got home and realised they’d put in the wrong mileage. Phoned them straight away and they were able to correct it. It was far easier than I expected, I was braced for a series of “computer says no” conversations.

392ci is 6.4 litres, Shirley.

Re: Dangerous beers...

It’s Friday, I don’t have much to do this afternoon, and the weather is nice at last. I might pop out to Aldi and see what they’ve got 8-)

Then come back on here about 6pm and do a drunken brocco-style rant

Re: Test drive report

The mileage discrepancy seems to just be one MOT with no mileage recorded. All the others are consistent.

Re: Your fleet running reports

Temperature & pressure will go hand in hand to an extent. Assuming the coolant is water-based (?) it’ll stay liquid to quite high temperature as long as the pressure is kept high too. I was initially assuming the temperature would be similar to an engine but that’s not necessarily true. We’re no...

But are those seals substantially different to those on the shaft of a water pump on an IC engine ?

Re: Why are road trips so alluring?

Anyway, looks like consensus is that you’re driving to Italy 8-) You could do it in a cheap cayenne turbo: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/204738478084 Your 911/aston both need more miles on them Fag packet calc was the the 360 would drink ~£1k of fuel on the trip. Aston would be similar, the 911 should...

Re: Why are road trips so alluring?

Calculated that driving to my dad's instead of flying saves about £3-500 and a tonne of CO2 compared to flying. How far is that, and is that based on several people? I did some rough calcs and it seemed that flying would be more CO2 efficient for travelling alone for Italy. IIRC Copenhagen, and it’...

Re: OJ Simpson

Here’s an interesting theory: Back in the Osbournes' MTV heyday, Sharon claimed that she and Ozzy stopped doing drugs after Nicole Simpson was murdered because OJ and Nicole were their dealers. According to her, the couple had carved out a nice little niche for themselves as suppliers of gak to the ...
