Re: Guy Martin - Worlds fastest van.
Just watched this (thanks Zip!) - huge fun. Really accessible for anyone, but yeah a little light on detail. Very weird to hear a broad Northern accent again!

Re: PC fans
Using the resistors almost entirely to reach round the case to be honest, plus pairing fans off one header - there's a total of six fans in there not including the CPU cooler. All Noctua. After a little furtling around last night, I reckon the noise is actually the new WD Red 8TB archive drive I've ...

PC fans
I have a lovely PC of fairly heavy stature originally specced by Herr Beany, and since taken through numerous alterations. These days it has many drives and runs many gadgets and despite being several years old still kicks all the ass I need. Except it's giving off a few noises, one of which is some...

Re: Your fleet running reports
Noice. A mate of mine has fitted the exact same spoiler to his, he had to bond his to the boot due to the fixing locations, or something. Either way, it strike a good balance without being OTT. Yeah they're bonded on. Added bonus in this case is that I ultimately get a bootlid with no holes filled ...

Re: Your fleet running reports
After a 'very long fucking time' I've finally got the bootlid/spoiler on my car sorted. Longer version is that when I purchased the second 86 in May last year (from a chap who runs a garage that works largely on 86s) he had a twat-tastic carbon spoiler thing perched high up in the air on the back of...

Re: Bicyclist thread
8-) Looks well tasty Dave - I'm guessing the battery is integrated? Missed that bit - yes the battery is within the downtube and comes out downwards just in front of the motor. So you put it on a stand or flip it over to remove. 500WH or 700WH depending on the version. Dropper post coming for it Th...

Re: Bicyclist thread
Bluetooth allows pairing to an app on your phone. Among many clever bits you can actually program it to say 'this ride is 60km' or 'this ride is 2hrs, 20mins' and it will balance the power and assist out as needed to get you to the end, like a ride and forget system. Lots of analysis stuff too. As f...

Re: Bicyclist thread
I bought this at the weekend. I fucking love it. Absolute hooligan of a bike and makes me grin riding it even on the driveway, can't wait to take out into the woods a bit soon.

Re: Today's want
Doubt we'd ever have the rear seats down, so front wheel out and chuck them in. If they don't fit, then on to the next bright idea Ultimately I can see we're gonna end up with a Raptor instead. *
*we're really not.

Re: Today's want
Currently got name down for early test drive as soon as they land here - Mrs all but sold on the idea. Plan was to chuck the bikes in it for the weekend and use it as a cheap commuter during the week. And then this morning I saw that it's basically ruined it all with really poor crash test results. :(
