Re: Decent Recent TV

Not recent but I've just started watching Californication again for probably the fourth time.

This guy sings like Rene's wife Edith in 'Allo 'Allo. I couldn't pay to hear that!
I'm aware there are more technically superior acts.

Re: Teh Spotted Thread

I was sorely tempted when they were in the £teens. I think they look fantastic and go like a motherfucker. Reliability aside.

For the £30k I think I'd play it safe with something else.

I think it would have to be my S2 Elise. It always seemed like an event, possibly because it was a weekend thing. Could have done with a nicer engine noise but I suppose that's why the V6 Exige exists.
Yes.
Yep, Honda S2 or V6 Exige if I ever get back in a Lotus.

Well I could be wrong, but I think he means best at being enjoyable/exciting to drive. Do you lads need a detailed instruction booklet to get out of bed in the morning? ;) I also took a leap of faith and made a judgement call. I think it would have to be my S2 Elise. It always seemed like an event,...

Re: The idle dreaming “what next” thread.

If we're doing that, I keep looking at F355s, specifially GTB manuals. They look suspiciously cheap to me compared to their contemporaries that have risen in value considerably quicker over recent years. They were up around £100k when I looked last year. In 2008 a dealer I was at had one in 'my' sp...

£10 for two cans of Red Stripe (wasn't a lot of choice) last week was a bit steep I thought.

Compressor FTW.

As an aside, my separate gauge broke when I dropped it so I've just bought this. Really chunky and well made https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/aw/d/B00W3H ... b_pd_title

I once heard a steel erector refer to himself as a structural engineer. No you are very not.

Years ago I had a job title of Datacentre Engineer. Basically installing servers, swapping parts, bit of cabling. I didn't engineer nuffink.

Few beers at House of Vans and Underbelly festival on the Southbank last night and went out to watch the marathon today. Way too hot to be running in it.
