Extraction Chris Hemsworth plays a young buff John Wick, killing it must be at least 100 serving Bangladeshi Policemen while escaping Dhaka in order to rescue the son of an Indian Drug Lord. Why oh why did I think this would be worth a watch. 2 out of 10 and that's been generous Polar Mads Mikkelse...

Re: The House Projects Thread

A mate of mine was house hunting in Dublin and found a place with a shower in each Bedroom. Not an en-suite… no, just a shower.

Yep ex brothel

Re: Bye Bye Liz...

There has to be... but what's the betting a new Tory leader will cling on to Power like grim death. Or at least until it's 45 days from their succession so they won't be the shortest ever term PM. I really can't see them doing well in the next election - A Labour lead Coalition of some some sort I'd...

Re: The House Projects Thread

What is it with people planning Shower Rooms off their kitchen's or Utility rooms as part of an extension. We were looking at 3/4 bedrooms Detached and Semi Detached last year and there were loads with this feature. Most of them had you walking through the Kitchen and the Living room to get to the s...

I mean, the government is out to get us pretty brazenly  They've no need to be secret about it. I don't think Governments are any different now than they were before - It's all down to the "Cult of the Individual". A generation of entitled people, with social media to vent, who feel ...

My mate's obsessed with this "Government is out to get us - do your own research". I just glaze over to be honest. I find it all a little embarrassing for him. Stay at Home Dad with too much time to read the wrong stuff on the internet.

Re: Energy companies direct debits

Seeing as the HMRC have access to every household's gross income, that surely would be a simple measure.

But then again, the HMRC are rubbish - there's an Income threshold for Child Benefit but they can't even do that - you still have to declare yourself eligible or not.

I sold all of my Vinyl back when I was 17 of 18 - Mainly Iron Maiden original releases, picture discs and 12" singles. I don't want to think about what they'd be worth now compared with what what I s sold them for - which could be measured in Packs of Camel Lights...

18 1/2 - Odd one this. Story about a Government transcriber who gets handed a tape that accidentally contains 18 1/2 minutes of Watergate recordings, thought to be deleted. It has a lot of Wes Anderson vibes but ultimately missed the mark I think. It would probably play better as a stage play. Biza...

10 out of 10 IMO
Similarly…

Spitfire

Made by (I presume) the same people, it follows the same pattern. Brilliant again.

There’s only 1 left that flew in the Battle of Britain- didn’t know that.

10 out of 10 again!
