Re: The Watches Thread

Obviously, it's a work day.

I saw a little red number up there ^ telling me someone had quoted me, I clicked it and it took me to Rich's post. I didn't realise you'd added a post. New fangled software, I'm putting a request into Mikey_P to reinstate Schnitz.

Re: The Watches Thread

Those £60k duratecs have lots of expensive special stuff bolted on them to make them perform massively better than the one in a focus though. The movement performs the same in the expensive version and the cheap version of the watch. Only the bodywork changes. Quite. I'm no expert, but I understand...

Re: Your fleet running reports

Exactly. And it was only 1800 Euros or so for those few parts. :? I still havent seen them by the way, I was quoted about 6 week lead time when I paid on 20th Feb. Ooh, that's 8 weeks tomorrow - will chase. Incidentally has anyone seen the lead time on Samco stuff now? I bought a full set of black s...

Re: Your fleet running reports

Looking forward to seeing it all on your car at least. I didn't buy a huge amount, just the parts I needed to repair my car really (sort of..) I damaged the NSR wing when I reversed it into my Polo so I needed 2 new carbon wings (I concluded there was no way a single one would match a 20 year old o...

Re: The Watches Thread

However, bad examples - no one buys a caterham for the engine (in fact they show no virtually allegiance to any specific engine in the range) On the contrary, 1/2 of Caterham discussion boards are full of discussion caused by allegiance to one engine or another. Ditto Lotus forums and again, it's g...

Re: Your fleet running reports

I've seen the indicator housings in carbon, but not the headlight bowls. I have 5 3/4" headlights so I've only looked for them mind. I saw a cf bonnet online, but that's probably a step too far considering the standard one isn't exactly heavy! Westermann Motorsport have them. Westermann are es...

Re: Your fleet running reports

I've already got the carbon rear blocks, that was a real saga and it's still not quite finished. I received no confirmation after ordering, got no response to phonecalls or emails and had to take to social media before they seemed to even start to make them. It took 5 weeks for them to turn up and t...

I understand the Caterham set is now discontinued. If someone wanted one of them, does anyone know of a place that has them on offer, or should I just pay RRP while I can still get one?

Re: The Watches Thread

The Omega shop in Gatwick has always struck me as a great place to get a cut-price Omega. I even wondered about buying a cheap ticket to somewhere just to enter the airside shops, buying a watch and then leaving. Not sure on the legality of that? I guess if you're buying tax free you should pay the ...

Re: Your fleet running reports

Exciting upgrade for the 7. https://i.imgur.com/hyxB6UV.jpg LED rear lights, mik will be pleased. :) I'll be glad to get back to the standard clusters, the last owner put clear ones on but I prefer these. Reassuringly expensive though. I've also bought a set of these ready for my rebuild. Possibly ...
