Re: Your fleet running reports
It was on A272 just outside Petersfield. I was stopped at the lights, a couple of bikes pulled up behind me. Light went green so I floored it; bikes were of course quick, saw the lead bike positioning himself to pass so I backed off; two bikes went past (second rider thanked me) and I proceeded to ...

Re: Bicyclist thread
Carlos, loads of top level guys who race use ebikes so that they can get more practice runs in a given time. They seem flipping ace on the trails. The all seem to use the Spec. Levos. drcarlos, was that the Evans South Downs ride? I did it with my Son (12). We planned to do the med but got distracte...

I'd love an old tractor, maybe when the house is done.
Re: Email
I remember email.
Honestly though, I hardly use it in my current roles. Contractual stuff, maybe. Everything else seems to come from external customers so I just ignore it. Communicate almost entirely on Slack, Webex or Skype.

UPDATE E53 4.8is It became apparent that one of the cats had broken down and was blocking the exhaust from the near-side bank of the engine. As a temporary measure the cat was cut open, the debris removed and the 'inspection panel' welded back up. http://www.stenelson.co.uk/bmw/e53/cat01.jpg http:/...

I have no idea, but it's a weird typing trait that I tend to spot. Someone else on here does it all the time but I don't remember David doing it.

Did Exiges ever leave a space before questions marks ?
Don't think so.

Re: Pre-diabeties
Dave, visceral fat. I don't think certain types of food can make us store a certain type of fat, it's to do with total fat that we carry and genetics as to where we store it. It's certainly not a good thing though and relevant to this discussion. https://www.diabetes.co.uk/body/visceral-fat.html Som...

Re: Your fleet running reports
E53 4.8is has a smaller towing capacity (2700kg), it's perfectly fine for what I'll tow but less than I imagined and less than similarly sized SUVs. Weirdly if you have the run-out models with a few extra options as standard they're rated at 2300kg which is daft when most owners would have taken tho...

...and not meaning to pick at you Dave, but just highlighting how blinkered we've become to larger people. At your height and weight you're right at the end of what the NHS call obese and touching the very obese category. If you halved your weight, you'd still be in the 'healthy weight' category and...

Re: Pre-diabeties
I’m not helping matters as I last weighed in at 129kg and I’m 5ft 11” but processed food imo is the absolute killer in diets. I eat a lot of dairy, lots of red meat, bread (the worst food I eat imo) and lots of veg. Very very little of it is processed though and my blood pressure, cholesterol, bloo...

Re: Your fleet running reports
It's not even the licencing that makes most illegal, it's exceeding the braked trailer capacity of the tow vehicle.

F10 530d - rated at 2000kg. Ace, that's a lot for an estate car, but they're big buses aren't they. Often (not) surprised at track days to see how many obviously illegal tow rigs there are. It's not unusual to see something E39 sized with something e36/e46 sized on the back. Plus they've loaded too...

What 5 series is it? I'd imagine you're approaching an illegal towing weight at 1700kg. Loads of people are and don't realise. F10 530d - rated at 2000kg. I reckon at some point there'll be a shift and fatties will be lambasted. It used to be OK to smoke and people that complained about it were pilloried. Now if someone lights up in a public place they may as well have just stabbed a puppy.
