It does irk me that anyone who decides they don't want the jab(s) is immediately labelled anti-vax. The two things aren't automatically linked IMO.
Also, someone needs to have a word with Trudeau, he's losing the plot..

Re: EV Thread
How you getting on with the e-Niro @Barry? Niro2 landed lunchtime, only managed a short run to drop the driver at the railway station but so far it feels nice, reasonable cabin quality, good ride, perky off these line. High waist/low roof line makes it feel a little close inside, compared to the Ci...

I had to switch it off, Tyrrell was crying inside while Harry was driving it.. I was shouting at the telly
Re: EV Thread
Being ICE'd is a source of frustration for regular public charger users, I see it commented on a lot. Unsure whether it's laziness or done out of spite, either way it's a d!CK move. People would lose their minds if EV driver's parked in front of fuel pumps and went shopping.

Re: The Motorbikerist Thread
I was tempted to get another silly superbike, as I do miss that ludicrous power occasionally, but when my old K8 is up for sale at £1k more than I paid for it eight years ago, I started looking at what else I could get for similar dosh - and big tourers came into focus. GTR1400, loads of power, hand...

Re: The Motorbikerist Thread
Ah yeh, forgot you sorted the brakes out, the OEM stuff was bloody scary  My fleet is fine yeah, just given Fazer its winter service, new boots, MOT - 82k miles on it now. Street is under cover, waiting for nicer weather. Tenere on about 8k miles now, just had some cheap Avons (couldn't get Pir...

Re: Your fleet running reports
Kona Electric has arrived this afternoon. Only done around 8 miles so far during lunch time. Going to take me a few days to get my head around a lot of the kit on it but it'll fun trying it out. I've put the regen settings up to 3 but it doesn't quite stop. Maybe I need to change another setting as...

MSV insist on brake guard too Si, you got one sorted?
My K8 never liked sitting unused for long periods, would throw fault codes and the gear indicator wouldn't work

Re: EV Thread
Ioniq collected this morning, one blip on the inspection report, a recent scratch on the rear bumper (I think that literally happened this weekend!). Called insurer to swap to the Niro (ready for del next week) and after much faff with the system (reg isn't showing on the system yet) she informed me...

Re: Your fleet running reports
New car - Hyundai Kona Electric 150kw (204ps) Premium - due to arrive next Wednesday following confirmation earlier today. Same day as the charging point is being installed, handily. Good choice, I wanted a Kona but lease prices were silly so I've gone for e-Niro with the same set up. Had a call ye...

Re: EV Thread
Our PodPoint charging point is being fitted next Wednesday. It only added £350 to the total cost of the lease and as both our meter box and fuse board are on the same wall, metre external and fuse internal, I'm hoping it's going to be fairly straightforward. Always wonder if they're just going to a...
Re: EV Thread
I didn’t know you could get a dumb one fitted. I expect when they start taxing them, more people will pull out their 13A plug in trickle chargers…. Loads of 2nd hand older units on sale, or just get a sparky to fit a new spur with the relevant connectors. It's just a fancy socket at the end of the ...
Re: EV Thread
Must admit, joking aside, since getting that annoying smart meter I'm watching the needle go up every time I switch something on 😂 Unplug it - it's just another drain  Years ago when our smart meters still worked we had one of those. It got thrown in the cupboard fairly quickly! I'm only leavi...
