I'm too old for this shit. Although I rather enjoy acting like an old git, I'm spending quite a bit of time with people in their 20s at work, doesn't seem to bother them.
I still throw the odd "yeet" in there, just as a freebie.

Re: Driving Shoes

My best current driving shoe is actually a cheap pair of Gelert walking shoes, as they're light, vented and cheap as chips. Trying to drive with and precision in my Salomens is not ideal.

I remember that doing the rounds at the time, and same reactions then. They're not great manoeuvres but certainly not worthy of being used for Police propaganda 😆

Re: Your fleet running reports

I don’t know how a Damon good thrashing is any different to a damn good thrashing but I’m sure it’s worth a try 😄 No light on Tuesday after an aggressive warm up. Got caught beyond a dithery old sod first thing this morning and light came back. Grr. It must be cat failing as the car drives fine oth...

Re: Your fleet running reports

If you haven’t already, take it for a Damon good thrashing and get it properly hot, might just be throwing a hissy from little use LIterally my first thought once I sat down again, I'll risk taking it to work tmrw. It didn't start bucking like it did when the lambda failed last time, so at least it...

Thanks Mik, that worked just fine after a couple of attempts to pair with the old reader, thanks all.

Now I need to find a half decent sports cat/back box

Re: Your fleet running reports

Buy a £15 obd2 reader from Amazon. Even if it doesn’t give you a full description it will give you a code you can google. Sod waiting a month then having to pay someone to do it edit - the suggestion from above worked - its thrown a code for the cat. Cleared it for now. Annoyingly the cat isn't tha...

Re: Your fleet running reports

Civic update. Having dragged the poor old Civic back into daily use, I managed two weeks before it complained. CEL popped up on the way home tonight. Nothing obvious from the drive-abiity side but it didn't go out on a restart <shrug> . Rang around and local diagnostic places are booked till April?!...

Re: Biker folk

What was the book that showed lots of positioning, riding tips etc for new riders and riders who wanted to improve ? I’m sure there was quite a well known one but I can’t remember it at all. Dave! A twist of the wrist? That's the one I was thinking of tbh. If you want to learn on the job, check if ...

Re: EV Thread

I'd argue that EV gives us a chance for some daring styling tbh, why not do some retro, some futuristic, whatever. I don't want an EV 3 series, I want that concept they showed off. But they won't. They'll just do another standard shitbox clad with some over styled retro looking hatchback body panel...

Re: VOIP Phones

For sure going to cause people to get upset, no doubt another conspiracy or something.

The engineer did make it clear to check I had other methods of phone, should the fibre go down, but that's about as far as they went. No one really making it clear they intend closing down the copper lines.

Re: VOIP Phones

If it's any consolation I just had my full fibre connected and my phone has been OOS since. I've been advised to turn the router and grey box off for ten minutes, as a reset. Quite enjoying not getting spam calls though..

Re: EV Thread

Watched Jonnys walkabout on the R5 earlier and yeah, good spec and lessons from Zoe should mean its a decent daily. A shame its not rwd considering how relatively easy packaging is on EV, but 99% of owners will never notice I guess.

I'll take that black one with the multiblade wheels please.

Poor reviews put me off tbh, I'm not coughing up near £10 over 2yrs for anything average. That's cheap though

That's one option I'm looking at yeah, although 2/3 yo Niro are what I'd be looking at tbh. They're already down to about £18k which is about what 3yr lease would cost anyway.
