Re: Is Martin Brundle a good commentator?
That and always having to present your best face to the media or you’ll be ripped to shreds. Look at Freddie Flintoff, howled at by the tabloids for getting drunk and going skinny dipping on a beach in Spain in his early 20s. Lewis Hamilton got slagged off for being to media slick, but when he shows...

Re: No F1 thread?
Yep, no nerves touched, just surprised someone holds that opinion. I’ve never heard anyone describe Brundle so negatively.

Re: No F1 thread?
I think there were one or two seasons where it was Brundle and Coulthard on C4. That was probably my favourite in race commentary team... but Brundle is the king, wherever he goes will he the best IMO. Agreed. So much incorrectness in one post I thought you were taking the piss at first. Brundles f...

Re: No F1 thread?
I mean, I get that Crofty on Sky is a moron, but Brundle is excellent and I love hearing him constantly correcting Crofty without actually calling him an idiot.

Re: Coronavirus
We use a childminder for the youngest after school. She asked for half the usual monthly payment as a retainer, which I didn’t mind paying to be honest.
Weirdly, she’s going to reopen as the schools go back but only for kids that aren’t going to school.

Re: Coronavirus
How can it be anonymous if they’re going to contact you to stay at home? A data expert I am not, and I respect your superior experience in such matters, but as a lay-person answering that question - how about through the phone the app is installed? Or even through the app itself? If people want to ...

Re: Coronavirus
It’s one thing being vigilant, but you’re getting a bit Pearl-clutchy. OK, everyone gets to draw their personal line where they like, but my attitude is that given broad access to a large number of potentially sensitive data sets to a company which was previously criticised for its unethical handli...

Re: Coronavirus
1) It's one of a series of contract, not all of which have had their value disclosed. Of those which have been disclosed, the total to Faculty alone is £1.6m. I've seen estimate for the total at over £4m. That total doesn't include the value of the data afterwards, which is retained by Faculty. So ...

Re: Coronavirus
My 15 year old did complain early on that it wasn’t fair because those that enjoy doing schoolwork would get ahead versus people like him that would rather be doing anything else. He didn’t make it very far with that argument
