Re: VR in 2019
That reminds me, on my previous Rift post - Depth Of Field, turning it off - has helped enormously. ATS and ETS2 don't crash at all now, and in fact since 1.36 and DirectX 11 on ATS the image quality is now superb. ETS2 still a little 'rubber band-like' every now and again but given it's far more re...

Re: Microsoft Flight Simulator
When I searched previously that was one of the first to come up, there's another with more 'trad' looking engine power controls which will probably do the job just as well and was a lot cheaper IIRC. Cannot find it now though.

Re: Being offended
I know there's a gag there but I'm missing it... #BecauseDinny... I'm assuming it was a reference to SD paying quite a lot to end his 5 Series lease early a couple of years ago. I hit the wrong emoji thought! This has at least surfaced this post again because the stupid content filter at work...

Re: Microsoft Flight Simulator
I've seen this on various YouTube channels, and will definitely be getting it, although need to factor in the cost of stuff like this https://www.amazon.co.uk/Logitech-Saitek-Flight-Control-System/dp/B01M9EWQ2W/ref=asc_df_B01M9EWQ2W/?tag=googshopuk-21&linkCode=df0&hvadid=310689469388&hvp...

Re: Brooklands Auction 23rd Nov
135 and 224 really talk to me. Love those old S3s. They need to get their facts straight though. Jaguar made two more series of Double-Six after the S3. 147 is tasty too. The E38 as the perfect 7. 150 is re-assuring in many ways, I still harbour dreams of owning a 400 at some point. Prices seem sens...

Re: Being offended
We do a work curry each year. Previous years we've always split the bill between us 4 manager-types. Last year, somebody took the piss (we know who it is) and the bill went from the usual £100 each to £140 each as a consequence. So this year, word has gone out, when you order your food, tot-up the t...

The profile view starts off with McLaren 720S, morphs into 612 Scaglietti then finishes with Merc GTS. Odd. But not wrong.

Re: UK Drone Registration
It'll appease the PC-brigade, Daily Fail-reading types who erroneously will assume that registration means an end to annoying cvnts buzzing them around 747s on final and other acts of stupidity.

Re: Bye Bye Boris!
Here’s one I used in 2016: https://uk.isidewith.com/political-quiz I actually found that genuinely interesting, will share that link. Answered several more questions per category, figuring more info would be better, and: 80% Conservative 78% UKIP (which is a massive surprise for me, not entirely su...

Re: Bye Bye Boris!
Weirdly, most people vote for parties fairly blindly. Those sites that tell you which party is closest to your politics is quite the eye opener. I usually come out as most closely aligned with the LibDems but I usually vote either Conservative or Labour based on whichever is being least awful at th...

Re: Bye Bye Boris!
So on this occasion I am going to read, re-read and then read again, anything and everything I can get my hands on with regards to manifestos and policies. I guess I've been a bit lazy in years gone by and just voted Conservative because I've always had doubts that Labour really know how to run the ...

Because I'm a big softie, wanted to say condolences on your crappy week dude :( Can't post in the thread because my stoopid, paranoid firewall software here at the office is evidently seeing the word 'shit' in the subject and throwing a hissy fit  Friend of mine had a stroke recently - late 40...

I try to steer clear of the actual name calling that you resort to with surprisingly little 'provocation' (wasn't even trying to provoke you in this case) - admittedly not always successfully. Anyway - whatever. Having just seen this, deciding to call it out. You may not necessarily use four letter...

Re: Bye Bye Boris!
Mark, your original post was phrased as a question; I didn't read it as rhetorical so your subsequent post about not bothering to read the link simply came across as 'I don't want to know the answer'. So I apologise if you think I was being rude in calling you ignorant, but the link does answer you...

Ok, I’m lying and still think you’re a total moron for voting leave because you were too “busy” to check what you were voting for. Is that more in keeping with your thoughts? I really don’t mind which you want to go with! You can try to change the subject if you want to. How I voted is nothing to d...

Are you trying to make out that stating you didnt want to read the link that answered your query wasn’t dumb?! 😂 This: SD: “something dumb” Everyone: just read this, it has the full answer to your query. SD: I’m too busy to read stuff and don’t need to justify myself (+2000 more words) Translates a...
