Re: FTAO People who travel a lot with work.
I currently travel 24 miles a day, it will be a lot to me! I want to travel as light as possible, I need a laptop, phone, couple of shirts I guess, the Tripp cases are on sale in Debenhams at the minute as well so I'll go have a look. I'll have a look at getting an Amex and will go try those headpho...

FTAO People who travel a lot with work.
Good Evening frequent flyers :) So I have finally got the job I've always wanted, however, with big job, come big responsibility, and lots of travelling. LOTS of travelling. I will be away for about 17 weeks a year, and will be literally everywhere, i know this is probably quite normal for some of y...

Re: Discussion point - Middle/Outside lane hoggers.
I managed 2 laps of a car on the way to Cornwall at 2 am before it moved from lane 2 of 4, where it was sat on its own for at least 10 miles without any other traffic around

You can have my 2012 308 VTI 1.6 for 4k, 38000 miles Should be good for a few more years without big bills, has 4 Nokian Winters on it, recent brakes, and has had oil changed every 6k since my dad has had it, all done by me. He's got a 3008 now which is why this has come to me. Has bluetooth with st...

Re: Your fleet running reports
Hopefully buying a Xantia Activa if they don't want silly money for a car which hasn't been MOT'D for nearly 5 years.
Seems sound in pictures but we all know how misleading they can be......

Re: Your fleet running reports
I've had Michelin Crossclimate + On my S60 for the last 2 years now and they are a decent all season tyre Tim. Even in the last big lot of snow I didn't get stuck and I live on Rombalds Moor! My Peugeot 308 on Nokian Winters didn't cope as well but I think that's more the car than the tyres Probably...

Re: Range Rovers
Lovely cars to drive and be in, but having been around them for the last 15 years, would I buy one? Absolutely, if it was a 3rd car and I had 2 reliable cars to fall back on .

Re: Your fleet running reports
Replaced all the coils and plugs on the Volvo as I had a slight misfire under load on cyl4, old plugs well past their best, all back to normal now. Next up is fitting the new rear discs, pads and shoes, finally getting the rest of the exhaust made up and fitted and fitting my new steering rack and f...

Re: Looking at buying a MX5
I test drove a 2.0 and it was nice, felt a bit soft but that's easily remedied.
Flows very well between corners, nice low seating position shame there isn't more adjustment on the steering wheel.
Just looking for a decent one now

Re: Looking at buying a MX5
FI kit is about 5k, I'd happily pay for the 200hp kit if I gel with the car. I'm not adverse to modifying cars, the 308 is the only standard car I've ever had. I thought about a Boxster, but more road tax, higher purchase price, more fuel costs and higher parts costs should stuff go wrong. I also th...

Re: Looking at buying a MX5
Ah cheers John, I bet yours is a bit quicker than a standard one! I'm liking that they are a bit more refined seemingly and will do for childless weekends away if required and they are obviously a lot safer thank the earlier cars. Thanks for the advice i'll certainly be having a good look for any ru...

Looking at buying a MX5
I'm thoroughly bored of the 308 now, it's good on petrol, and not much else. I need something to commute about 40 miles a day in that's reliable, and can fit the car seat in so I can take my boy to his grandparents/nursery in a morning. I don't want to spend any money if I can help it, so trade in t...
