Re: Coronavirus
The government appear to have f*cked this up from start to finish really Sadly even the concept of having "fucked it up" relies on the premise that the objective was ever responsible management of the nation and its economy. It simply isn't the case. Literally zero fucks are given about t...

Re: Coronavirus
I had promised myself I'd stay out of this thread, but things seem to have taken another worrying turn. And I'm taking about this "moonshot" mass testing business. Not only is it yet another excuse to pump billions public money into private contracts with companies like Serco and Deloitte ...

Re: FTAO of nefarious
Well, boys and girls, its finally here - Scottish Formula Ford's great post-lockdown homecoming 🏁🏁😁 We have a respectable grid of eight cars at Knockhill for testing on Saturday and a full race programme of quali and two races on Sunday. At times it's been like pulling teeth to get to this point (an...

Were you organising the whole event Neil? V10 F1 demo laps and all?  No, I didn't even organise the whole race I was in! I organised the Scottish Renegade cup (three rounds as a consolation to our cancelled season), and persuaded the bloke who was organising the Formula Ford Heritage rac...

The one that failed is for adjusting the camber, so it's not on the nut and bolt check list, because "checking" it would change the camber a bit. Hey ho - just one of those things.

Big thanks to Mr. Rev and family for being the makeshift StrongBroo team for the weekend! For thew rest of you Dave and his eldest Dylan were on spanner duties for the first round of our Renegade Cup at Oulton Park. Lovely weekend, amazing cars in the paddock (historic F2s, touring cars, Cam-am/pre-...

Re: #BecuaseRaceCar
Cheers guys. Bit more of a "team evo" excursion this time, with some spanner assistance from members of this parish. I'm rusty, the car hasn't turned a wheel in 6 months, and I've never raced Oulton before, but I'll do my best to uphold the honour of the Evo forum!

Re: Lockdown cookery thread.
So my annual cook-a-thon is done for another year. 24 mouths to feed this time. Menu looked like this: Saturday (late arrival so limited prep time): Spaghetti Carbonara Linguine with smoked salmon, lemon, capers and cherry toms Garlic bread - Rice pudding with raspberry or passionfruit coulis Sunday...

I know my little coup is probably not super interesting to everyone, but today is the day when the proverbial tanks rolled into the town square. First thing this morning, I removed SMRC and associated parties as admins off the Scottish Formula Ford page, and dropped the announcement of the Scottish...

I may end up resorting to those tactics.

Re: FTAO of nefarious
"Not super interesting"   The process would make a half-decent soap opera, but phoning lots of folks, smoothing over personal differences, and persuading them that their various self-interests *do* really align, is considerably less exciting than the actual driving round i...

Re: Career Change or Sideline
Its funny you mention making stuff... I’d love to do something practical, outdoors, whatever really, but it won’t pay what I get today. I went from financial analysis to renovating/renting flats, with little more than basic DIY skills behind me. I have proper tradespeople for stuff that's beyond my...
