Re: Your fleet running reports
Civic update. Having dragged the poor old Civic back into daily use, I managed two weeks before it complained. CEL popped up on the way home tonight. Nothing obvious from the drive-abiity side but it didn't go out on a restart <shrug> . Rang around and local diagnostic places are booked till April?!...

Re: Biker folk
What was the book that showed lots of positioning, riding tips etc for new riders and riders who wanted to improve ? I’m sure there was quite a well known one but I can’t remember it at all. Dave! A twist of the wrist? That's the one I was thinking of tbh. If you want to learn on the job, check if ...
Re: EV Thread
I'd argue that EV gives us a chance for some daring styling tbh, why not do some retro, some futuristic, whatever. I don't want an EV 3 series, I want that concept they showed off. But they won't. They'll just do another standard shitbox clad with some over styled retro looking hatchback body panel...

Maybe holding off so as not to impact potential R4 sales

Re: VOIP Phones
For sure going to cause people to get upset, no doubt another conspiracy or something.
The engineer did make it clear to check I had other methods of phone, should the fibre go down, but that's about as far as they went. No one really making it clear they intend closing down the copper lines.

Re: VOIP Phones
If it's any consolation I just had my full fibre connected and my phone has been OOS since. I've been advised to turn the router and grey box off for ten minutes, as a reset. Quite enjoying not getting spam calls though..
Re: EV Thread
Makes me wonder if they're planning an AWD hot variant down the line yeah, we can hope. Fat arch TurboII style arches please and thank you.
Re: EV Thread
Watched Jonnys walkabout on the R5 earlier and yeah, good spec and lessons from Zoe should mean its a decent daily. A shame its not rwd considering how relatively easy packaging is on EV, but 99% of owners will never notice I guess.
I'll take that black one with the multiblade wheels please.

Re: EV Thread
That's one option I'm looking at yeah, although 2/3 yo Niro are what I'd be looking at tbh. They're already down to about £18k which is about what 3yr lease would cost anyway.
Re: EV Thread
I'm not sure how the fleet emissions calculations are made, but I suspect it'll just mean the manufacturers just reduce what they offer to the EU in order to balance the books (as the fines are hefty IIRC). Yamaha just announced they're not taking the flagship sports bike (R1/R1M) into next Euro emi...

R34 cos Mines variant
R33 cos 400R
R35 leaves me rather cold I'm afraid

Re: EV Thread
Why not a covered channel in the pavement ? It stops the streets looking like industrial units. You can either have a brush to cover it or a plate. Dave! There is one of these available already, but presumably requires council approval to dig the pavement up. I wouldn't want that gantry outside my ...
Re: EV Thread
What Beany said. Manage the supply side properly and stop with the user side BS. Fuxxsake. That could mess with critical cheap overnight tariff windows too.
Re: EV Thread
So, under Scottish building regulations, I have to get a 7kw EV charging point put in to the new house. I can't just pre-wire it ready for one in years to come depending on how the tech develops and if we ever end up needing one. Is there a good buying guide to these things, or any personal recomme...

All he seems to do is rag cars up air strips anyway, big yawn from me tbh.

I'm old enough not to care if I'm rude, I just look them in the eyes and give a firm "no" and keep walking.
