Re: Your fleet running reports
Ceramic coating on my BBS RS was £100 at a different place, I guess it comes down to me being a repeat customer that I get very good rates.

Interior and exterior was £150. I’ll put some photos up of the stereo screen for example to show the difference there.

Re: Your fleet running reports
One of the cheapest things you can do to your car for the return imo Alex, it always feels more like your car afterwards rather than the previous owners. Like you’ve peeled away a layer of their filth.

Re: Your fleet running reports
Agreed, a proper detail is always worth the money imo.
Once the wheels are refurbed and spacers on it’ll be a good place to be for a few months.

Wheels need a proper refurb so told him to leave them but you can see the benefits of a proper detail, especially if you’re looking to add value to a car IMO.

Re: Your fleet running reports
After chasing down issues on the lotus it was only a day on a dyno that finally got to the bottom of the numerous issues.. Not sure if that's an option Nic, many things don't become apparent til its under load. It used to boost to .8 under hard load and then bleed away pressure which was obviously ...

Re: Your fleet running reports
When I bought the cayenne it had a knackered headlight and common logic was that you had to order ballasts in pairs and code them in. I didn’t. I originally ordered an aftermarket ballast from Germany via eBay but when the seller said it wouldn’t work and I had to have an original Hella at double th...

Re: Boring insurance question
I only deal with the NFU (who are 5 star rated) now, local contact for everything, no admin charges for plate changes etc and their competitive on price, changing the Touareg to the Cayenne was an extra £36.

https://i.imgur.com/JDtiRWQ.jpg Thermostat being done today, ordered part from Porsche last Wednesday, received Saturday. Because it is a facelift it has metal cooling pipes and thermostat housing unlike the earlier 4.5 V8s which had plastic pipes. While we’re in there getting the spark plugs chang...

Re: Your fleet running reports
Nothing major thankfully, I drove it home fine. Thermostat needs replacing as it’s running cold, new thermostat is £95 including seals and postage from Porsche Cardiff, went for genuine as it’s an inlet manifold off job so 5-6 hours, makes no sense skimping on parts as labour to do it twice with a c...
