Interesting proposition. It’s averaged 317miles PA but that’s all track work. So around 74laps of Spa (as an example) per year….

Embargo on journo feedback for now - not sure when it is lifted. This is “almost final production spec”. Apparently.

One is designed to wash.

One is designed to dry.

You can wash one load whilst you dry another.

Also - have you tried using a washer/dryer? They are pitiful at the latter task.

Re: Any whirlygig experts on here?

A washing line?! Is it 1803 or something? tumbledry everything and to hell with it. Tumble dry stuff? In this economic climate? Who do you think you are, P Diddy? Quite  I'm a tight Northern git, so bollocks to not using the free outside dryer. Besides, the super expensive heat pump tumble dry...

I wasn’t interested enough to do more than scan that, but that’s the best opening 5seconds in an HG vid for a while 8-)

Re: EVO: SportContact 7 vs others

Interesting indeed, and no question tyre tech continues to evolve. The MPS4S for example seem to be as good as the older MPSS in the dry whilst being better in the wet and significantly better in the cold.

The big EV runs the ContiSport 6, and I’ve been very impressed with them too.

All of what @Swervin_Mervin said.

The new Highway Code rules seem to have allowed the minority of cyclists actively looking for problems (a group which 100% includes Mr Vine) to revert to “what me? I’m just a VULNERABLE cyclist - it’s everyone else’s responsibility to take care of me”.

Re: Any whirlygig experts on here?

A washing line?! Is it 1803 or something? tumbledry everything and to hell with it. That’s what I do. Heat pump tumbler - very efficient - particularly after a 1400rpm spin-dry in the washer. However : sheets, quilt covers, vampire cloaks etc aren’t liked by the tumble dryer. And Mrs mik has a roma...

It’s time for another forum cycle/vehicle disagreement

For me the complaint about the Waitrose driver is ludicrous. If you cycle towards the centreline of the road (regardless of whether you are on your own, two or three abreast) then it’s pretty much impossible for traffic to pass you with a 1.5m gap - whether overtaking or going the other way. So the ...
