Re: Your fleet running reports

Another Smart related malady! No exploding glass but my wife rang me on the way into work this morning to say she'd got home from the school run and the car had proceeded to refuse to relinquish the key. Even more annoyingly this was stuck in the "1" position with the accessory power on wh...

Re: Exploding tempered glasses

The smarts (well 453 at least) also seem to have these horrible wiry carpets that trap absolutely everything and if you try and agitate it with a hoover then go all fuzzy and even worse  Both mine & Gavster's are 450s but pre & post facelift, and the carpet in the facelift car is noti...

Re: Exploding tempered glasses

At least you didn't have to wash the glass out of your hair  but yeah, I expect to find small bits of glass in my Smart from now until the end of eternity. Re: Your fleet running reports

Jesus! I'll err omit to mention to my wife that this could happen... To be honest as she doesn't do over 30 anywhere around here I imagine the risk is somewhat lower.

Re: Your fleet running reports

Drove the Mini for the first time in 10 months today. The tyres felt rather flat-spotted at first but it was great fun. Now it’s living in our garage rather than storage, and is taxed for the year (I remembered at the last minute) I might use it a bit more. https://i.imgur.com/1rVl3zd.jpeg Massive ...

Re: Your fleet running reports

991 was flashing low battery warnings at me and playing up in other funny ways such as not opening the frunk from the key so I took it out for a good long run down to Birling Gap. Was a faithful companion in the sometimes slimy 7 def conditions. Definitely think the 4WD contributed but very subtle i...

Rivian SUV thing that the American Yootoobers like. I quite liked the look of it actually. Much better than the horrible Yukon and Escalades that they drive out there.

Re: Teh Spotted Thread

I was too late to organise and no space in the FB so I'm at the Radisson next door - not quite the same! Plus I'm not paying so missed out on that one.

Yes second shot was of the SoHo - will see if I can give their breakfast a try before I leave!

Crappy picture as trying not to look too obvious given I'm on a business trip, but Miami is certainly good for car spotting! https://i.imgur.com/y37amtQ.jpeg Both for supercars and also seemingly th highest number of G-wagens anywhere on earth, sometimes in matching pairs... https://i.imgur.com/WsvE...

Re: Your fleet running reports

New bonnet & boot struts for the Vantage. Just over £30 each seemed alright for genuine parts from a main dealer It needs an MOT too. I’m not expecting any problems there. That does seem reasonable. Need to get this fixed on the GTS - bonnet keeps clouting my head when accessing the frunk. Weir...

Re: Menopause is now a disability (UK)

I would think it is typically not as prevalent or severe as the menopause, though having said that, rates of suicide increase markedly in men of that age so perhaps should not be glibly dismissed.

Not spotted by me, but phat evora. It's a no from me.... The interior is particularly :? I don't mind the marble effect on the wheel. Very unimpressed with the ipod zip tied to the handbrake though. I presume they're going for that funny irregular/non-weaved carbon stuff that Lambo seem keen on - l...

Re: Your fleet running reports

It's not my fleet so not strictly OT, but I wanted to share it. A story of "How the Other Half Live". Facebook post by NCG friend of NCG friend. Her previous car was a Renault Grand Scenic 1.9 diesel, which could really shift... I looked it up. 130bhp and 0-62 in 11.6 seconds. I was only ...
