Re: Your fleet running reports

Oh yeah and the rear wash doesn't work on the 135i, and apparently checking the motors is a wheel off, inner arch out, entire wing off job.

Think I'll live with a mucky rear screen for now

Re: Your fleet running reports

Still no word from my prospective buyer who has been chasing me for months and who I agreed to sell to once i replaced the E46, to make it 'easier' for me to move it on.

Neighbour is interested though, once he's done some research.

Getting on my tits now.

Using different lingo doesn't make them thick.

Just annoying.

Aside, if anyone's unclear on the reference:

I've used this a couple of times at work when I've rolled my eyes at the way the youths talk.

Re: Today’s want

The porker seems less likely to need big bills, soon, but being a cat car, maybe more of a backroad rat that you could park up in town and not mind if it gets scratched up etc.

Not sure I'd trust a 25 year old jag for, well, anything. They weren't exactly a paragon of reliability out the factory...

Re: Your fleet running reports

Also, car now ready to go to the guy who has been badgering me for months . I texted him yesterday to tell him he was good to go the bank to get money. I left him a voicemail today to say I'm good to go whenever (the car drives so I was gonna deliver it, it's only the other side of town). If I've he...

Re: Your fleet running reports

Just went to the E46 and it's battery is low (currently charging in the house), and it got me thinking. M135i has stop/start. Eventually it'll get to the stage where it's battery will need a charge or a jump - are there any considerations for stop/start cars when it comes to battery packs jump start...

Re: I used to be with "it"

Ideal for someone in Bridlington, though. And yeah, I'm in a discord with some of the Youth of Today (IE in their 20s), and they love it when I deliberately misuse youth speak. They also like letting me know the best way to make my mid-20s staff cringe by, for example, describing one of them as 'my ...

Ah well, sounds like he's just one of those people with far, far too much time on his hands, and a heroically inflated view of his own legal skills.

Re: The House Projects Thread

Dumb question - have you checked for the phrase "OpenAI" in his documents? I'm only half joking...you might not find that phrase itself, but it might be worth ask your solicitor to check out the case law references - a dead giveaway for AI use in legal work is that it just flat out invents...

Re: The Movie Thread

Another example of why IT nerds think leather trenchcoats look cool (failing to notice that it's the ripped actor wearing it that actually looks cool). In 20 odd years of making shitloads in IT I have met one trench coat wearer. He arrived on his first day dressed very smartly in a suit and was adv...

Re: The ebay thread

that comes with the wrong engine fitted because it's a replica. Replica Based on 1.6Lx Where does it say that? :? You're right though, it's no Ghia badged as an XR. As I recall the differences between the Ghia and XR4x4 basically came down to seats, detail suspension setup and badges. Put some pain...

Re: The Movie Thread

They're remaking The Crow. My initial reaction is of course, huge skeptiscism, but that nice young lad Bill Skarsgard doesn't tend to suffer shitty screenplays, and it has been 30 years since the first film and things have moved on wildly since the original. And it's not like the original won't stil...
