Re: The ebay thread

Would need a fortune spending on it if you wanted to make it a decent looking car, passenger front wing is battered, dents up the rear pillar etc. more than just carpark door dings! Yup, rear arches and the lower door corner are obviously rusted - and if they've not been fixed, you can bet your boo...

Just giving that a quick glance, it immediately wants north of £500 of welding/painting done on it. Maybe for £750, not £1750, even if it is low mileage.

As long as none of it is Tesla stock, as he pinkie promised not to sell any more.

You know, like he's promised many times before, and then just did it anyway when he needed a quick buck.

Re: Randomness

Does anyone here like sports cars ? https://psyarxiv.com/uy7ph/ Abstract In this experiment, we manipulated what men believed about their own penis size, relative to others. We gave them false information, stating that the average penis size was larger than it in fact is, reasoning that, on average...

Re: Running

I peaked at about 160-170, the tracking in fitbit isn't that detailed for those of us who refuse to sign up for the pro version  I had a quieter session last night, peaked at about 140bpm and didn't overdo it, still felt like I'd put some effort in but without the feeling sick afterwards. It's ...

Yeah, I've got thumb, index and middle finger on both hands enrolled, that covers 90% of things.

Never had a problem with the fingerprint reader on my one, so far at least.

Re: Running

Probably a relevant thread - overdoing the exercise, apparently can make you feel a bit sick  Did 2.6km in 25 mins, at high resistance mostly, arms were burning so I toned it down a bit. Now feeling nauseous and a bit sore  Me joints are fine though, unlike after walking up the hill, so th...

Re: 2022 review / 2023 plans

I have bought a rowing machine (due to arrive Monday) and have worked out how to get PS2 emulation working in Linux, and have 'sourced' gran turismo 4.

I may never leave the house again.

To be fair, your cats are photogenic in the 'bizarre cat behaviour' manner. Jimbo there looks like something out of an anime.

Re: 2022 review / 2023 plans

Gav, that's a possibility if we're ever let down by the cat sitter we have already tried. She likes us and our cats, and uses pictures of them to market her services, so I think there's some goodwill there already. The dogs and tortoise go to our favoured kennels anyway; the dogs love it there. ......

I'd imagine the headlights are designed to break away easily for pedestrian crash regs, they're obviously not carefully unplugging the connectors etc.

Re: Jag sports coupes. Thoughts?

Isn’t the F type V6 the botched one which is literally a V8 block with 2 pistons missing? I’d avoid it for that bit of lazy engineering. It is, and I'm surprised Beany hasn't seen criticism of it since we were pretty negative here (or the old forum anyway) about it. <snip> You wouldn't make a V6 wi...
