Re: It’s time for another forum cycle/vehicle disagreement
Absolutely it was - I regularly hit 40 and it's fairly scary; it was pretty scary going above 30mph on my old bike but the fat tyres and suspension of the eMTB make it much more planted. Fuck knows what 60 is like on an e-Scooter. Your feet must be clipped in and pulling on the up stroke to do that 😁

Re: Randomness
I was looking at going to Switzerland/Austria by car this winter but it’s all very confusing in terms of the Alpine region. Looks like almost all the road are shut over winter but then you look at the individual businesses such as hotels and restaurants and they seem open. So how the feck do you ge...

Re: The SSO Holiday Gift Guide
I bought Chris Harris' audiobook and it's brilliant. I'm about halfway through and he comes across exactly as you hope he would. His Mum was also clearly an utter legend. His career aside, his childhood love of cars, TV shows with cars etc seems identical to mine and I expect many on here given our...

Trains less so. Massive queues for the Eurostar in Paris, late setting off. Missed connection at KX

Re: The Movie Thread
Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny (Disney+) It was surprisingly not that awful, and captured some of the essence of the first two, while usefully adding newness and a nice wrap at the end. Story as bonkers as the others, but it didn't quite matter. Phoebe Waller-Bridges did a decent job of lift...

Russell tried several accents during that movie and they were all a bit shit. Charlie Hunham hit that low water mark in Rebel Moon.

Re: The Movie Thread
Rebel Moon This is Netflix's latest PoS Honestly, how on earth do these things get green lit? If you asked an AI to write you a film that combines Star Wars, Lord of the Rings, a dash of Peaky Blinders, Game of Thrones, and Clash of the Titans, it would probably come up with something better than t...

I can do you a Flying Spur for £10k in the spring 😎 Park that bitch on the street, let it get clarted with tree sap and pollen and have it's wing mirrors knocked off by morons 8-) Salary sacrifice and get ...

Re: Gavster's Mince Pie Ranking 2021 (now inc NEW 2022 updates)
Worth mentioning on this thread - I've had a couple of boxes of the Morrison's in-store bakery mince pies. They're quite a different kettle of fish to the usual mince pie offering - mostly down to the stuff/pastry ratio. I haven't fully decided if this is a good thing or not, but the pastry is like...

Re: Sticky Vicky
I understand her daughter is now running things. I've never been but am aware of her work. Benidorm is a bloody awful place tipified by Sticky Vicky and her niece Kinky Karen. I have had the misfortune to see Karen pulling various items from within her carvenous clunge. Not something i'd like to se...

Re: Does Anyone Live in Manchester ?
I'm at the Warehouse project in Manchester on Saturday for a Hacienda night. Anyone been there? I was last there a couple of years ago to see Pete Tong, Camelphat and Hot Since 82. Also went to the old one round the corner before it moved to Mayfield. It's a very big space inside compared to the la...
