Disappointed you hadn't done 7175mi when it sent your "review" through.

Re: Motorway Mile Munchers
Are the diesel lumps in these any good or prone to bork? As it's JLR I'd naturally tend to assume the latter for any part of the car tbh.

Re: Motorway Mile Munchers
He's put a deposit down on a diesel XJ in deepest darkest North England. Beige exterior, with beige interior and wooden steering wheel. I have been requested to give him a "quick lift" to Middlesbrough sometime this weekend to check that the car isn't a lemon. FFS. That has "...

Re: Dangerous beers...
I've just today received a case of 12 Brains SA. Reminded by a friend who had a pint of it the other day that I've not seen it in years - used to be the go to beer for this household when the 6 Nations was on. So I just had to order some. I had that Brains stuff in Cardiff, was decent. What are the...

Would EV motors not be a better use case for waterless coolant?

Re: Test drive report
The mileage discrepancy seems to just be one MOT with no mileage recorded. All the others are consistent. I have a mileage discrepancy on the 330, thanks to an MOT tester typing 133,000 instead of 113,000 one year  I wonder if there is a way of rectifying such a discrepancy. Issue is likely e...

Re: Dangerous beers...
…Yeastie Boys… <round of applause> 8-) That would obviously work for a craft bakery too. It had a run of being fairly widely available in supermarkets but that time has come to an end now seemingly. Brewed under licence by Brewdog as well, so a difficult one depending on where your moral bar sits. ...

Re: Why are road trips so alluring?
It's because it's "travelling" rather than simply getting from A-B, surely? And then there's the freedom aspect for me - I loathe airports and having to spend any amount of time in them is purely a means to an end, and it's time I'd rather spend doing almost anything else. Even sitting on ...

Re: Teh Spotted Thread
That MINI dash is hilariously bad  I was joining the A34 Tues evening (at one of those roundabouts where you have to take your chance and go for it, hence couldn't get a pic) and I thought there was a kei-car type minivan behind me, all stickered up. Turns out it was actually a pick-up! Sounded...

E46's were rusty heaps, no? E9x just seem to keep on going unlike previous gens. And they're pretty tiny compared to a lot of modern stuff.

Re: Parking space widths
What about us wealthy folk who have cars nearly 2m wide? My M2 is as wide as a 4C. Yours just look wide because it's so short. Chode like. Chode  The early 90s called! This was on BBC breakfast this morning. Was such a dull story with no conclusion. Most modern standards specify 2.5m x 5.0m th...

Re: It’s time for another forum cycle/vehicle disagreement
It's very similar indeed to Amsterdam, where you often also have a tram line down the middle. It just takes a moment's thought to realise cars and trucks are not special and have no priority over others. Maybe a larger number of cyclists means drivers don't get complacent. Yep. Very similar to many...

Re: State of the Roads
KCC, on the brink of bankruptcy, cutting services all the time. But they get shiny new vans for their useless surveyors who do fuck all judging the state of the roads  https://i.ibb.co/L5ZBCqs/IMG-0184.jpg And yet the road it's snapped on looks perfect and even has road markings! Based o...
