Re: Ineos Grenadier (not dead)
Ah I see, so despite proving that LC sales aren’t in fact very low and that the new Defender is a direct rival to the LC I must be wrong because it’s not what you think and we’ll throw in how it’s a load of nonsense for good measure

Re: Ineos Grenadier (not dead)
My point was that I was talking about the full size Land Cruiser not the smaller one. Which wasn’t traditionally a rival to a Defender, more of a Disco and Range Rover rival. The Range Rover comparison was based on viewing two separate cars as one when they’re actually quite different. I’m amazed t...

Re: Ineos Grenadier (not dead)
To reframe this a little, is a Range Rover Sport the same as a Range Rover and should sales for both be counted together? I think the issue here is that we’ve been talking about entirely different cars  That’s a pretty bad example you’ve managed to pick there and there’s no need to re-frame an...

Re: Ineos Grenadier (not dead)
I’d personally prefer to see cars decreasing in size again but that’s not going to happen.

Re: Coronavirus
There’s got to be some level of correlation between those who have covid and are spreading it about and those who don’t wear masks.

Re: Ineos Grenadier (not dead)
Right, so we’re just going to conveniently completely ignore what Toyota call their own cars which they’ve designed
It doesn’t matter what platform it’s built off, it’s still a clear competitor

Re: Ineos Grenadier (not dead)
It’s only OC who is getting worked up about the fact the Land Cruiser available in the UK isn’t the largest available in other markets. No I’m not, I’ve never said I have a problem with that. The issue is Zed thinks the LC sells in ‘very small numbers’ which it doesn’t and he also stated the LC isn...

Re: Mountain Biking general thread
Tonight I managed 31.5 miles in just under 3 hours, if you lot can do better I don’t care * 8-) I once rode further than that, circa 34 miles if my memory serves me correctly, but that was on completely flat ground whereas tonight had lots of hills 8-) :D * I do really, top darts folk 8-) 27.5 in 2...

Re: Ineos Grenadier (not dead)
Full size LC is about the same size as the Defender. The (not real LC) one that OC posted is about 4 inches narrower  Picking and choosing which Land Cruiser is a "real one" or not is really clutching at straws, especially when there is a Defender 90 to compete against the smaller wh...

Re: Ineos Grenadier (not dead)
It's because someone on the internet is wrong ;) Evidently width doesn't matter all that much to 90+% of customers, on the whole cars have been getting bigger for years and although people complain they can't fit into parking spaces any more the evidence is that folk are ok with that and are happy t...

Re: Mountain Biking general thread
I may have picked the wrong time to sell my spare bike after all...! I’ve just sent my forks and rear shock from my Capra to be serviced and I got a call to quickly chat about what I want done with the rear shock. I then asked about the forks, which the guys sounded puzzled on, turns out that my fo...

Re: Ineos Grenadier (not dead)
I couldn’t find sales numbers but there were only 62 new registrations last year according to how many left. Is your bonus tied to getting people on the internet to admit the like the defender? That’s a fantastic source, shame it’s not official. Or accurate. The LC production is circa 40,000 ...

Re: Ineos Grenadier (not dead)
Where did I say that either car was or wasn’t sold anywhere? I’m looking at it as a proposition in the UK. UK sales for the Land Cruiser are very low and it’s more of a competitor for the Disco than the defender imo. I’ve literally just posted an example where the Defender is a clear competitor to ...

Re: Ineos Grenadier (not dead)
Yes, I realise they do offer them for sale, they don’t actually sell many though  The LC shouldn’t be a direct competitor for the Defender anyway. That’s what the Disco/RR are for. What?! The Defender isn't just sold in the UK and neither is the Land Cruiser!!! The LC sells circa 40,000 a yea...
