Re: Bye Bye Boris!

Well, back before CERN turned on the LHC and destroyed our original timeline (what we call the Berenstein Timeline), he would absolutely have had to resign. On this timeline, who knows? But if he loses the court case, it means he effectively lied to the monarch. Not sure what the first bit of your ...

Re: Bye Bye Boris!

Will he really resign if this case is lost? And therefore who the fuck do we get next 😂 Well, back before CERN turned on the LHC and destroyed our original timeline (what we call the Berenstein Timeline), he would absolutely have had to resign. On this timeline, who knows? But if he loses the court...

So it's the retirees who are doing stone cutting at 7am on a Sunday?
Yep, there’s one guy who thinks nothing of it. I think I’ve seen him out cutting wood at 6am-ish before but it was a weekday and I was leaving for work anyway.

Re: What’s ‘too early’ on a Sunday?

Try moving out of the commune. I live on the edge of a small village, with fields off to one side, I can’t really get much further out without camping in the middle of a field  where are all these neighbours then? Sounds like there’s lots of them. One side is fields, so that leaves next door, ...

What’s ‘too early’ on a Sunday?

I live with a mix of about 1/3 retirees, 1/3 very young families and 1/3 established families, some of whom work nights. Some of the neighbours, the ones who don’t work, have started getting into the habit of making a noise outside on a Sunday starting at 7am. Such actions include hedge and grass cu...

Re: New iPhones

I have placed my order for an 11 Pro with 256gb in silver. I contemplated an 11 and an 11 Pro Max but the screen sizes just put me off because they don’t fit in any of my pockets and I don’t have some massive freaky fingers to use them one handed, although the normal 11 Pro isn’t exactly one hand si...

Re: eBay 996 build thread

To take this discussion to its logical conclusion, I shall purchase a 70s Cadillac as it should be completely unstickable. Go drive a standard Fiesta ST from 2013-2015 and anything will feel soft after that  The 2016- had 30% less stiffness and it made all the difference. I’d love to have an a...

Yes I follow, and was wondering how that worked. Have you got to visit an Apple shop to change phone?

Re: Apple iPhone upgrade programme

Does anyone on here use it? It looks a brilliant way to own an iPhone even if you don’t want to trade it in every twelve months because it’s interest free and includes AppleCare for free. I’m sim only so this seems to be a much cheaper way of buying an iPhone. Downsides? I use it. I’ve had it since...

Re: 2020 LR Defender

Plus, sinking to the bottom is exactly what you want to happen, when you float, you are funked. Dave! RR & RRS float at over 900mm too, it’s weird feeling them start to go light when approaching that depth but if it weren’t for them being light(ish)/sealed they’d go further under. I don’t think you...

Re: 2020 LR Defender

I notice the snorkel has no effect on the wading depth as well. Wonder if that's due to the mounting locations of key electrical items? It floats if you go any deeper! I love it, I think they’ve really hit the nail on the head with this one. My Grand Vitara has a wading depth of two and a half feet...

The only thing stopping the pre TD5 defenders going any deeper were axle and gearbox breathers. £40 later and you have a wading depth of a metre.

Your feet will get wet mind you.

Re: 2020 LR Defender

It’s now a monocoque chassis so it would be quite difficult to turn it into a pick up wouldn’t it? It has 85 different ECUs so god bless the future owners who have them out of warranty  I notice the snorkel has no effect on the wading depth as well. Re: Having nothing to moan about

Not until the middle of next year, but I'm honestly ready to get back to something. I'm just not sure what, yet. I'm trying to convince my multi-millionaire mate that we should start a "classic" car company i.e. he buys all the stock and pays the rent on the showroom, and I drive the stock around a...
