Re: What not to say when pulled over......

So if a copper doesn’t like you for some reason and he spots you twice in 12 months he can issue you with two S59’s and confiscate your car just because he feels like making life awkward for you?

Good job spotting a traffic cop once in 3 years is about the norm!

Re: Ford Mustang Mach E

I don’t think people are too bothered about an electric 2 door coupe with a Mustang badge on, Ford have built a one off 900bhp electric version of the current Mustang and it’s been received very well. The vast majority of people have expressed interest in a hybrid V8 followed by a full on BEV if For...

Re: Expensive service

It should be free to access the records, even if it means posting a copy of the service paperwork to MB and they update it a few weeks later or whatever.

Re: Ford Mustang Mach E

Everyone so far is 110% correct in this thread.

I wonder if it’ll generate enough vitriol for the US that Ford will do a U-turn, just like they did when they announced the Mustang was going to go FWD back in the ‘80’s :!:

Ford Mustang Mach E

Personally I like the car but hate the way they’ve used the Mustang name, just ‘Mach E’ will suffice.

Re: Bristol bans diesels

PHEV size being the smaller battery ranges currently found in PHEV cars, not the even smaller ones found in hydrogen cars. As the performance demands for hydrogen grow then so will the supplementary battery size to something about the same as a PHEV battery anyway. People will inevitably want their...

Re: Bristol bans diesels

Mito is correct, the larger hydrogen cars will need a PHEV sized battery to even out the peak demands but unlike a PHEV you won’t need to plug the car in to charge the battery. I’m not sure what you mean by “PHEV sized battery”. A Tesla Model 3 comes with a 53kwh battery pack as the smallest option...

Re: Bristol bans diesels

Not up on the tech but for burst power they probably have some beefy capacitors that will buffer any delay in production. In fact as BEVs are effectively scaled up rc tech they probably also have some beefy buffer capacitors too like their smaller cousins too as generally over stressing lithium bat...

Warwick spice in err... Warwick. They were voted best in the country or something a few years back. Castle Balti also get good reviews.

I think it’ll be the transformation of oil companies into energy companies which will drive the widespread technology change.

Re: Bristol bans diesels

I think you're giving them a little too much credit there tbh. Even if hydrogen is the next big thing they'll still rely on private investment to take the plunge first. And folk are talking like FCEV will replace BEV when in effect they'll just become the same thing, fuel cell cars will still need ...

l wouldn't pay £160 for the Defender either. ;) We got staff discount on the Defender which was brilliant. The Defender seems very good value compared to the Batman set :? Ditto, waiting on mine being delivered. Built the Mustang this evening, very impressed. I'll have to wait till new year if I wa...

Re: Bristol bans diesels

Fascinating- even EU6 cars appear to be included in the ban. Hope I can pick up a cheaper diesel commuter shortly then! That was my first thought too but I think other cities will follow so not sure how useful it will be. I reckon the ICE is going to banned way sooner than we all currently think. Y...

I was surprised by this too, even London’s system is structured around emissions standards. Feels a bit of a knee-jerk reaction to me :?

Re: UK decent rental cars experience

It seems to be a choice of a 420 grancoupe or S Class or V6 F type - you would have to pay me to drive the first one, the second one would just be inconvenient and the last one would get irritating after the 10th fart. You can switch the exhaust into quiet no fart mode. It’s the boot which would ge...

Apart from you know, ruining Hamilton’s car by making sure it broke down.

I’m joking. You know it, we all know it. But why did Hamilton’s car break down so much that one season? :?

Re: Driving on the roads

I’ve recently found an increase in the number of car/van cunts who sit in the middle lane going 0.5mph faster than the trucks and refusing to keep left, so they’re just a slow moving constriction to the flow of traffic. If I can get past them then it’s usually clear to do 80+ up until you meet the n...
