Re: Jerry can recommendations

You can buy a spout for metal Jerry cans so you won’t have to call the environment agency each time you fill your mower. Halfords sell 20l Jerry cans and they’re fine despite being quite tinny. If you have a military show/event locally that’s where to find the best ex mod/nato jerry cans. They last...

Re: The Watches Thread

Something I noticed while wandering around in Brighton yesterday was how many Rolexes (and other luxury watch brands) there were in all the second hand jewellers (compared to a couple of years ago) During the Covid and post-Covid boom, there just wasn't the stock, but now, every shop seemed to have...

Jobbo wrote: Sun Mar 10, 2024 10:38 am I have mentioned a few times how much I liked the Blaken PVD Rolex I’ve seen - it was a Milgauss and looked stunning. I’d still like one.
I have a perception (based on not much at all) that the PVD coating could chip and damage (revealing the steel below) - is that a thing?

Jay-me it's always great when people achieve something they've been wanting for a while - so congrats on that Seeing your Sinn reminded me that I saw a Rolex Submariner "hulk" in black PVD the other day I'm not a fan, but I can see how it could be appealing to others It was used, and £19k...

Ascender we saw it at our local Picture House cinema, and when it finished, the audience was very quiet/stunned As we've both said, it's so overwhelming, I'm not quite sure if it was actually any good Will look forward to watching it again at home, where I can have the sub-titles on! (I got a lot m...

We went to see Dune 2 at the IMAX yesterday and it was pretty mind blowing. The visuals and score were stunning - an absolute assault on the senses. Loved it. Would recommend. Went to see this tonight too (although not IMAX) Not sure if good or not A stunning experience visually and sonically Which...

Re: Euromillions immediate purchase

My wife and I have always said that the first thing we'd do is purchase an open, first class ticket and spend a good amount of time travelling and exploring the world, and letting things settle down

There's always time to buys things - we'd spend our money/time having experiences

Doesn’t state where it will do 0-60 in 1 second. It may be being pushed off a cliff… The two seater dragster I went in at Santa Pod does 0-60 in about a second (and about 60 feet too) Maybe if the Tesla was fitted with super sticky drag tyres and was running on a prep'd dragstrip it's feasible? But...

Re: Randomness

We should also ban Guy Ritchie's film "Snatch" as well because it refers to "pikeys" which is also a derogatory term Or is that OK because the characters use it in a derogatory way because of their character traits? i.e. a racist character could use the word "hottentots"...

I think our brains are soon going to melt from information overload. It's another step, but now it's down to the Supreme Court which is heavily stacked in his favour

Their decision could kind of be make or break for the US

And yeah, it was me who had the Birds kit fitted to my M140i I had their suspension kit, an LSD, and the rear subframe brace (oddly the 3 doors come with this, but not the five doors - the latter of which maybe need it more) It's not cheap, but it totally tran...
