Re: FAO Gavster - Chocolate Orange!

I know it's not viewed as proper chocolate, but I do like a Terry's chocolate orange

In the same way that I like a good quality burger, but on occasion I also like a dirty burger from a van or a McDonald's

Re: The Movie Thread

Alien Romulus

Hey guys! I've had a great idea:

Why don't we remake the first Alien film, but with teenagers instead of proper people?

It would be great if we could get Millie Bobbie Brown to star in it, but if she's too expensive, just find someone who looks a bit like her

That'd be great ...

Apparently the shooter is still at large.. what were all those good guys with guns doing!??

This was my first thought too

If all these open carry, 2nd amendment, assault rifle owning, MAGA loons can't protect one of their own, then it rather makes a mockery oh the whole "good guy with a gun ...

Re: The Holiday Thread

Funnily enough, I tend to drive relatively slowly on French motorways, tending to cruise at about 70mph

After a long stretch and a fill up, the car indicated an expected range of 515 miles!

And that was after about 60 miles of driving

Not bad for an 11 year old, 3.4 litre flat six 😃

Re: The Holiday Thread

Just back from a lovely two weeks in France, and thought it might be worth sharing the experience

Basically, we had two weeks, one week with my family in a lovely house that we've stayed in a few times before in a little place called St Geniez d'Olt, then a second week just Helen and me, doing a ...

Re: The Movie Thread

There are just some 'suspension of disbelief' things I find harder to swallow

And a train that continually navigates a totally frozen earth, on which there are haves and have-nots (for some reason the haves decided to include the latter) is just daft IMO

One of those films where I kind of hoped ...

In a nut shell, who green-lights this kind of utter bollocks?!
The Chris Evans one? I quite enjoyed it. The carriage assault in the dark sequence was very well done.
That's the one, thought it was absolute twaddle 😂

I had a pair of the Sennheiser HD25s that were the in-flight headphones on Concorde (they came with a letter of authenticity as well)

They're not all that rare and still come up for auction on eBay etc

I gave them to my nephew who's obsessed with flying though

We're in SW France for the next two weeks, an inconsequential little village that we've visited twice before

My first thought when I saw that golf video was "Why the fuck did they cut it there?"

There's no evidence of cheating in that video

A caddy drops a ball (don't know if it was his caddy, or what happened to the ball)

The clip needed to show Trump playing that ball

Why are people so dumb? :)
