Re: Parking / legal question

That’s more like it Jimmy! We need a street view shot for full assamessment. (hopefully a link to Google Photos will work) This is an example of what they do (they previously had two car parked in this gap, one went off somewhere, so they moved the second, thus blocking both spaces): https://lh3.go...

Parking / legal question

Our street is permit zone and parking is always at a premium (it's rare to be able to park near the house, and quite common to not be on the same street at all). A family a couple of doors down has three cars that they park on the street and I have a quick question about their parking behaviour. Whe...

Re: Essential Mix

Another cracking mix this weekend just gone.

It was by Paranoid London (me neither) and is a rocking house/acid house job.

Really rolls along. The kind of thing I think "I'd love to hear this set in a club" **

** Except clubs have people in, and they're largely idiots/cunts 😉

No high refresh rate screens No reverse wireless charging (so you could charge your AirPods directly from the phone) Still using lightning rather than USB-C Only the Pros include a faster charging plug But they have caught up a bit with 'old' features like Night Sight, Street View, Swipe keyboard et...

Re: Litchfield Remap a 992 carrera and you wont believe what happened next...

That's so appealing IMO. Maybe more so than a more overtly sporting/powerful car (either from Porsche or another manufacturer). It's a car you could drive everyday, park without having to be too paranoid etc, but one that would have (what I guess would be) pretty incredible performance when you want...

Re: No F1 thread?

Bottas to stay at Merc next year! Surprised at that. Not surprised. He's a solid second driver, able to pick up wins/serious points if Lewis doesn't. And most importantly he doesn't threaten Lewis. Lewis works best when he feels happy and loved. I think it's a good, safe choice (in terms of likelih...

Re: 2020 LR Defender

You know I don't really care for Lego, but that does look really good.

My wife has a soft spot for Defenders (her grandparents had several old Landies) - I'm sure she'd enjoy building that.

Maybe we can give it to a niece/nephew/charity once we've had our fun with it...

Pubs?

They're the places with people in, right?

No thanks....

Re: Tiger Z100 gear changers

A bit off topic, but I remember seeing that car running at (what I think was) the Motorsport Show in Birmingham many years ago. It was ridiculously quick looking. You know that thing where if a car looks fast, it's actually stupidly fast? Well, that. There was an outside area where they were demoing...

Will look even better without that 7yr warranty sticker in the rear window! I remember when I collected by (new) 306 Rallye, the very first thing I did was pop the hatchback, peel the dealer sticker out, and hand it to the salesman. Fvcked if I'm tooling around with a big advert for your business i...

Re: Book review thread

I may have previously mentioned the Wool Trilogy: Wool / Shift / Dust by Hugh Howey I'm not much for "series" - I find it a bit off-putting/daunting to get into something that I know is the start of something "big" and I can't usually be bothered. But the above is brilliant. Highly recommended. Kind...

Re: Wedding Reception

The compromise is to put X amount behind the bar so people can have free drinks (I think it's nice to treat those close to you etc) but after that they have to pay. If you're worried about people taking the piss, then I'd suggest they're not the kind of people you should be inviting anyway. IMO wedd...

Re: No F1 thread?

I think the penalty was valid. The cone was to mark the limits of the pit entrance. In lieu of say an Armco barrier. If there was a barrier, he'd have to go round again to get to the pit entrance again. This is the same thing IMO. I have no sympathy for the drivers moaning about the run off either. ...
