Re: Twitter steals Mockdiamonds concept
Nice casual racism there, Broccers. How so ? You can’t even see it? For the hard of thinking, calling a young black guy a ‘creature’ is pretty obviously derogatory and looks like a blatant reference to his ethnicity. I swore never to get involved in stupid arguments on here again, but seriously, wh...

Re: Removing BMW brake disks...
Ah I tried something like that, but it just destroyed the screw head without turning it.
Ironic that the only purpose of the thing is to try to make life easier for lining up the disk with the hubs

Is that a reverse thread extraction tool?
If so, tried and failed.

...when the stupid locator screw has rusted itself into the hub! What a stupid idea. Why didn't they just go all the way and weld the disks to the hub  Simple task made difficult by having to drill the screw out. Basically, this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m7cxHCAcPj0&ab_channel=Fixin...

Re: For the ftao of coffee machine owners
I used to used an aeropress at work, inverted of course, and it was great if you weren’t allowed your own electrical stuff on site. I’ve also got three delonghi bean-to-cup machines :) Gavster had one so I bought one too. It was great so I bought another one for work, at Army HQ where we got away w...

They are great for that. I tried the inverted method once.
I didn't try again.
At home I have a Delonghi Elletta bean to cup machine. It's not cheap but it's great.

It is still a frustration to me that the only Countach I have ever seen in the wild is an Anniversary. :? (And that was about 30yrs ago!) The QV is Countach perfection for me. The Anniversary side skirts are a visual abomination beside a round-belly Countach and those wheels are no wider but they a...

Dampers have gone as well.
Not suspension though, bootlid. If you are standing over it when remote releasing it will take your head off it opens so fast!

Would there be a reason to replace the pair? Do spring rates degrade over time?Sundayjumper wrote: ↑Fri Mar 26, 2021 2:28 pm Yep. Got mine done under warranty but they’d only change the broken one, not the pair

Re: Your fleet running reports
I have groaning from the rear end and the right hand side is sitting lower than the left.
(This is the BMW incidentally before the expected comments arrive...)
I'm assuming a broken spring (had the same with the A8) rather than rusty wishbones are the cause.

Tell my Mrs please. She's desperate to take the little'un to EuroDisney. Apart from the fact that he's both too young to appreciate it, too young to understand the film references and too young to use a lot of the rides, France is still in the midst of the pandemic, partly at least due to their exi...

We just finished S4.
They may as well have had Charles shouting "a horse, a horse....!" they turned him into such a Richard III type caricature. Makes you cringe even more than Gillian Anderson's ludicrous Thatcher portrayal!

Re: Harry’s Garage
So mechanically similar? I'd take a CS and stick a carbon airbox on it and enjoy the less compromised seats then I think. Actually I nearly did about 10 years ago. Was considering swapping the Spec C for one, but then the values seemed to shoot up day by day and I convinced myself that I had missed ...

Wasn't the standard BX speedo a crazy rotating drum at that time as well. All got sadly sanitised later on in its life didn't it. And wasn't the design originally for Volvo? Re: New new new new Top Gear
Yes my Dad's 605 had some issues, that's why he ended up trading it in for the Rover. (And then regretted it) The first Renault 25 was the first car I regularly drove after passing my test. Loved the interior, the character, and even the 3-speed auto worked surprisingly well (better than the subsequ...

Re: Your lockdown purchases.
It is ironic that in my pursuit of the perfect black I have rejected the only format to date that can theoretically achieve it... JVC projectors are the best for black levels, that is an accepted fact, and with the dynamic iris simulating local dimming it does a brilliant job, much better than cinem...
