Re: Why are road trips so alluring?
If it's just a 3 days slog down expensive Autoroute or congested Autobahns, I'd probably rather take the aeroplane these days, TBH  If it's a gentle meander to Italy, via rural France, or Germany/Switzerland, passing through quant little villages, meeting locals and trying local food and the ma...

Re: Birmingham Wheels
That's a shame. Though what's even more of a shame is they clearly gave me a kart with a worn engine, which robbed me of what would have been a glorious podium finish.

Re: Euromillions immediate purchase
Ha, I’ve thought about this too much because our woodlands has a village 3 miles away which has a prick living in it who is pretty similar to Gavsters neighbour in terms of having far too much time on their hands and being a nuisance. Current record is calling the police whenever someone is cutting...

Re: No F1 thread?
Solid job by Bearman. That comment extends to his race performance too! Very impressive debut, especially as he was thrown into the car last minute. Honestly, some other teams need to take notice of this and get rid of their drivers which have been in F1 for too long, and sign some new drivers whic...

Re: Hairy Bikers Guy - Dave Myers
As others have said, a real shame to hear of his passing. I've always liked their programs, even before getting into bikes. Two mates with great enthusiasm, doing what they enjoyed and having fun together. RIP Dave Myers!

Re: Collecting cars
As far as I can see, only the OP moaned about it...everyone else has been positive
I haven't seen/listened to any of the collecting cars podcasts, so maybe I should have a moan about them?
I did watch the latest Intercooler podcast with James May, which was good.

Re: Most desirable Nissan GT-R/Skyline? (Poll part 2)
I've only driven the R33 in the pic below...they are fantastic things! I don't immediately click with alot of cars when I drive them for the first time, but the R33 was one of the rare ones where I did. This one was obviously a bit tired as a rental, but the magic was still there. https://www.instag...

Re: 737 Max
Interesting vid from Juan Brown regarding the company Boeing get to fabricate the fuselage (Spirit Aerospace), sounds like a toxic work environment has contributed to cutting corners in quality control.

Re: 2023 review / 2024 plans
I’m really excited for 2024, I need everyone stay healthy and alive though first and foremost though! Well that didn't last long. :( Work friend (worked together on and off for about 15 years), not close, but a great guy who I'd call a friend. Went home to Malaysia for the holidays, went to bed com...

Re: Car Plans 2024
Well the 968 and M3 are still in storage. After nearly 3 years, hopefully I'll finally be able to get the out of storage and back on the road, before the middle of this year! Other than briefly driving them in August 2021, they have been sat in storage...so seized hydraulics are a little bit of a co...

Alfaholics. Anyone saying anything else is wrong. I said they're wrong! Do you fit in that? Probably not, but it is Mik with the lottery win, not me. I'll just stand next to it. And apart from the Escorts (nope, not a chance) I doubt I'll fit in any of them. Since seeing Henry Catchpole revie...

Did you get max style points?? LOL sadly no, although both me and my bike survived unscathed! https://twitter.com/skipptg/status/1718691354023235956 https://youtu.be/6-kJS1PWbJE When I was on my first trip to Wales back in 2019, I crossed a small ford which was maybe 30 or 40cm deep. I thought I wa...

https://youtu.be/U_uYRqeLPYA?si=pLORNpTkaaaa6eWZ Such a cool car, anyway, and great to see Harry review it. I don't think he said enough about what it was like to live with for a couple of weeks. The thin lights remind me of Fry, when he narrows his eyes. https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed...
