You're all being a bit harsh, It's OV9 not Agatha Christie. He hasn't given the answer within the first page, we have the right to be an angry mob now  https://media2.giphy.com/media/v1.Y2lkPTc5MGI3NjExZHd1dHdpd2JueGVlZ3duejlpb2kzdDNrYXgycXFoMXl2bDNxajlxdSZlcD12MV9pbnRlcm5hbF9naWZfYnlfaW...

Re: Cool air from heat pump - useful ??

You could build a shed next to it, duct the cool air into the shed and have your shed as a cold store for cheese.

Love the design of that generation SL, it's aging really well imo.

The sticker is a French ULEZ-zone sticker.

Re: Carbon Fibre Bad

Maybe BMW can make Natural Fibre parts for old timers too, so I could replace the unrecyclable CFRP parts on my M3, with the natural fibres. Thus saving the planet. *the monkeys paw curls another finger* BMW now sell M3 CSL parts in NF, but they all cost a miminum of £5,000 due to the low volume an...

Re: Car Limits (aka Walshy days)

So overall, a new-ish GT3 and M2 aren't great for track work but older Elises and Boxsters are? Possibly not a surprise but how amusing  I’m not sure how much blame could be apportioned to the cars - the GT3 had old tyres and the M2 driver was way out of his depth! My elise is very firmly at h...

Re: No F1 thread?

I’m really not fussed who wins the drivers title, as long as it’s not Max. I thought the same too, at the start of the season. But now I think that if he can absolutely drive the wheels off the current car to win the Championship and do it in a non-dominant car, then I'm not going to begrudge his s...

Re: No F1 thread?

Yeah, good on Lando, that's a mature attitude that many drivers lack. I agree he lacks the cut-throat attitude...but he does have the speed in quali and the race, just can't string it together. Hope he can step things up and put in a fight to win the championship, because it'll be boring if Piastri ...

I haven’t been watching, as I’ve been on my way back from mainland Europe.

Saw a clip of the podium celebration…spoiler alert…

Great to see Kubica (and his teammates) on the top step of the podium, after what he has gone through since that crash which effectively took him out of F1.

Re: Interlinked Smoke & Heat Alarms

The fumes from oil based paint (thinned with white spirit) set off the interlinked system in my house. Seemed to do it want early in the morning too

The alarm must have been at least 120db too.

Re: Your fleet running reports

I forgot about your M3  But yeah. BMW have done it for quite a while e.g. E36: https://cdn4.pelicanparts.com/BMW/techarticles/E36-Oil-Change/pic3.jpg https://www.pelicanparts.com/BMW/techarticles/E36-Oil-Change/E36-Oil-Change.htm It's a shame they've dropped the hex nut top from recent models...

Re: No F1 thread?

Yuki qualified 20th, how long before we have another RB driver this year? I reckon Honda have paid handsomely for him to be in the seat for the rest of the season, so RBR are probably just happy with the money in their account. If they do have a break out clause, whoever they would put in his place...

Re: Tedious Guess Which Car I've Bought Thread

Back when I used to change the diesel filter on the golf, any diesel left in the filter cartridge went into a spray bottle, which I used to spray on tar and the nasty wheel weight foam adhesive. It was pretty damn effective. I stopped short on trying it on the bits of soft touch plastic which went s...
