Teng bits ordered. Thanks all!

Re: It’s time for another forum cycle/vehicle disagreement
That is appalling. For a team car to hit a competing rider due to inattention is unforgivable - sanctions ought to apply, something like excluding the team for a couple of races due to the severity of it. Sounds reasonable. They should surely also have a rule that anyone driving close to any of the...

Re: Flightradar24 fans
This guy has been popping up on my youtube feed for the last couple of weeks. He seems to be there every day as far as I can tell.... it's far from fast moving but you can skip back to snippets of action which he seems to capture quite well with his long lenses... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4Zd...

Re: Where to get (decent quality) impact driver bits?
1. 1/4" bits wouldn't fit the end of the driver - the female end suit 5/16". 2. No idea. The beauty of the mechanical driver is that you turning it whilst driving the bit hard into the fixing - so you very rarely have any skipping issues. 1. Obviously - I was more thinking you need to mov...

Oops. That could have resulted in a significantly nastier outcome.

Re: Where to get (decent quality) impact driver bits?
1. If an electrical impact driver can copy with 1/4" bits, does the mechanical impact driver really need 5/16" bits or is that simply to withstand the smacking with a hammer? 2. Any idea what sort of torque you can achieve with a mechanical impact driver and how they compare? 3. ETA: Teng...

Are Teng good? If yes this set would probably do me....Sundayjumper wrote: ↑Mon May 13, 2024 7:29 am They do indeed appear to be 5/16”:

Re: Where to get (decent quality) impact driver bits?
Well said. The ones that fit in electrical impact drivers are 1/4” hex (6.3mm). I found Hilka bits sold separately - I’m sure they’d be a huge improvement, but would be better if I could get a “stronger” brand.

Where to get (decent quality) impact driver bits?
Have a cheap manual impact driver which works fine, but the bits appear to be made of cheese. Would like to buy some decent bits, but it’s hard to find them as some walloper also decided to also call a new and completely different tool an Impact Driver  I want bits for an Impact Driver https:/...

Impressive indeed. I was delighted to see that the first thing he did was turn off that cringefestival "N-Shift" bullshit.

Re: Your fleet running reports
Eldest miklet had an advisory on his Civic at the last MOT (6 months ago  ) for his rear discs & pads. I’ve learned that prodding him excessively to sort shizzle on his cars invariably leads to us falling out, so I watched him wait until they brakes started complaining. So he’s had to urge...

Re: Jack envy
Never tried one, but the 150mm low-height would put me off (and the 400mm fully-raised height isn’t that impressive either). I meant in addition to a regular jack, not instead of. Times where you need to jack something in the middle of the car and don't have room to crank a normal jack handle up &a...

Yeah it’s cos they have separate forums (fora?) for RRS and Evoque. See bottom of main page.

My SGS jack is doing great. It’s performed duties on the Evora, my son’s Civic and Mrs mik’s weight-of-a-small-moon-eTron.

Re: Your fleet running reports
It's only just occurred to me - belm - is there a decent RR forum ? Classifieds there might be a good place to look. Never used it, but it’s a sister forum to the Disco3/4 which I did use and it was very good informative with people happy to take the time to explain shizzle. https://www.fullfatrr.c...
