Alpine Bikes were independent - had a shop in Gt Western Road where I got my first Trek. Tiso bought them over around 2007-ish.

Re: Mountain Biking general thread

Here, can someone recommend a comfyish saddle that doesn't look like a piles cushion? My usual choice is killing me on a daily commute and I don't want to wear padded undershorts as neither taking my trousers off at work or sitting all day in something that feels nappyesque appeals. I wonder how mu...

Re: Drunk Purchases

I don't think I've ever accidentally drunk-purchased anything in my life. Clearly I'm missing out on the surpr...

Mrs mik will buy items after a few sherbets without checking dimensions. A few years back we took delivery of a "bargain" outdoor chair/table set that would probably suit 7 year old kids. It was like the Stonehenge scene in Spinal Tap.

Cyclist, oncoming car, and pedestrians all extremely lucky here. Car doesn't show any brake lights until after it hits the first bollard....

Re: It’s time for another forum cycle/vehicle disagreement

That is appalling. For a team car to hit a competing rider due to inattention is unforgivable - sanctions ought to apply, something like excluding the team for a couple of races due to the severity of it. Sounds reasonable. They should surely also have a rule that anyone driving close to any of the...
