Re: It’s time for another forum cycle/vehicle disagreement

Something different. Pedestrian wanders out without looking (possibly thinking the road is one-way for all traffic, and not noticing the 2-way cycle lane?), but since they were crossing the road I think many cyclists would have anticipated the potential for that happening. A brief toot on that nice ...

The old tyre is fine, but the wheel is cracked in 4 places, almost in perfect quarters.

Re: It’s time for another forum cycle/vehicle disagreement

Looking at that, I'd suggest that in order to have a clear view of oncoming cyclists, especially if it's a Van or 4x4 letting you out, you would already need to most of the way across the road before you'd have that clear view. That’s true of many awkward junctions though. “Creep & peek” I thin...

Re: The House Projects Thread

So, do I just bit the bullet and replace like for like? We had sliding mirrored wardrobe doors replaced years ago at a property with a 3 panel wood/coloured glass/wood. Much cheaper than replacing with mirror (and we specifically didn't want mirror). In fact my mum put the same kinda thing into her...

Re: It’s time for another forum cycle/vehicle disagreement

Driver 100% at fault. Some comments in the thread highlighting that the cycle lane had ended - which are irrelevant - a cyclist can still filter up the inside of a lane and if you can't see that your route is clear - don't cross. Driver is also a total dick for denying fault, and the bikes are fully...

Not sure how practical Ivory leather is, but that does look like an extremely nice place to do some miles in - regardless of the seat you choose. 8-)
