I wasn’t clear - neither :D

Lack of traction was frustrating, but it was the crap gear lever position that made it a firm non for me. (Or more specifically the arm rest that prevented you comfortably accessing the gear lever).

You know when you start thinking about a car and then it seems like you see 3 or 4 of them on every journey. That. If it's not OK for a bike and a vehicle to simultaneously occupy "their" lanes - then what purpose is it serving? Marking out an area where vehicles aren't supposed to go - when there are no bikes present in that lane (?) - and not providing anything additional when bikes are presen...
