Re: Decent car YouTubes
Impressive indeed. I was delighted to see that the first thing he did was turn off that cringefestival "N-Shift" bullshit.

Re: Your fleet running reports
Eldest miklet had an advisory on his Civic at the last MOT (6 months ago  ) for his rear discs & pads. I’ve learned that prodding him excessively to sort shizzle on his cars invariably leads to us falling out, so I watched him wait until they brakes started complaining. So he’s had to urge...

Re: Jack envy
Never tried one, but the 150mm low-height would put me off (and the 400mm fully-raised height isn’t that impressive either). I meant in addition to a regular jack, not instead of. Times where you need to jack something in the middle of the car and don't have room to crank a normal jack handle up &a...

Yeah it’s cos they have separate forums (fora?) for RRS and Evoque. See bottom of main page.

My SGS jack is doing great. It’s performed duties on the Evora, my son’s Civic and Mrs mik’s weight-of-a-small-moon-eTron.

Re: Your fleet running reports
It's only just occurred to me - belm - is there a decent RR forum ? Classifieds there might be a good place to look. Never used it, but it’s a sister forum to the Disco3/4 which I did use and it was very good informative with people happy to take the time to explain shizzle. https://www.fullfatrr.c...

The Cayenne needs a scrub up & a new MOT, then that can go up for sale too.

Re: The Motorbikerist Thread
I thought he was going to go up the side road Hard to judge the speed with the slo-mo, but I think he was going too fast and/or off-balance to make it. Had just collided with the bike now behind him, who missed a gear and slowed suddenly. Higher-res version now on the tube. House residents seem obl...

Rondinculously cheap in the current climate for a well cared for car with those mods imho.

Steve Albini
I'm not particularly aware of his work as an artist, but he produced / studio engineered some absolute belters.
RIP.

Re: Tyres
I'm keen to see him do his test now. I'm not in the market for this type of tyre personally, but the data looked a bit mad : over 6 laps the "milder" Cup2 appear to have taken about 3 laps to get properly warm, with a starting lap 2min31, and the last two laps consistent in the 2min24 rang...

Re: Today’s want
I'm not usually the greatest fan of red paint, but that looks great. Funky seats too. And great to see that it has a healthy 84k-odd miles on it too - so you can still drive it!IanF wrote: ↑Thu May 09, 2024 8:30 am https://collectingcars.com/for-sale/199 ... luzione-12
Beautiful colour
Re: Tyres
I had no idea the Cup2R wilted so fast. It’s clearly a lengthy track with 2m20 lap times, but to be 4 seconds slower on the 2nd dry lap, and 8 seconds slower after 6 is absolutely massive.
