Re: Seatbelts on planes

What I've always wondered is how do the captains know when to instruct you to put the seatbelt on? Can you see it approaching? Is it data driven, or do you get a heads up from Fred 100km in front of you that their crew just lost their lunch? Pilots receive live data feeds from Global Weather Contro...

Will it get away with those arches for the road? They barely cover the wheels.

Im finding it really difficult to find tyres for the EQV (245/55/17) as anything other that budget brands are on backorder. Camskill are offering both Conti & Bridgestone under "OE Merc". https://www.camskill.co.uk/m54b0s4852p0/Car_Tyres_-_MPV_Tyres_-_People_Carrier_Tyres_-_17_inch_R1...

Seatbelts on planes

Prompted by the 777 turbulence issue . Not really any of my business, but I'm always quite fascinated at how (relatively) lax many other airline passengers are with their belts, unbuckling as soon as given permission to do so, rebuckling only when instructed by the cabin crew, and when fastened - on...

Re: Flightradar24 fans

Hey @IanF , help me understand. I understand that during turbulence the plane could fall and people would be weightless, but in so many of these stories you hear of people hitting the plane roof with force, as if the plane is being 'pulled' down faster than gravity. What gives? I am not a pilot, bu...

Re: The Movie Thread

Anatomy of a Fall (Prime) Very, very confusing. Watched it in two sittings as I fell asleep first time round although that's not the film's fault. The lead is fantastic, carrying the whole film, and the plot leaves you guessing with no obvious outcome. I do hope the portrayal of the functioning of ...

Re: Your fleet running reports

I have discovered that if you put the M135i in to 'TRACTION' mode (a single press of the TC button) it pops and crackles like an absolute motherfucker on the overrun - about as much, if not more than in sport+, but without the firm gearchanges, heavy steering etc. I am absolutely not being a child ...
