Re: For the FAO of stereoists
I’m waiting to see a decent discount on a Marantz Stereo 70s. I see Richer Sounds have them for £699 if you are a VIP member - this is free to join and you get 10% off your first order over £100 - with the following caveat "*In some instances, this voucher is not valid in conjunction with othe...

Re: Decent car YouTubes
Every day’s a school day.
I didn’t realise that most of the V8 Supercar drivers use the clutch for downshifts, as a full flappy paddle shift can be too aggressive and you don’t want them rears locking.
No issue for upshifts.

Re: Decent car YouTubes
One from 1987 - different car (Fiesta?) or just removed the aftermarket aero device thingy doo-dahs? Clearly not a fan of the (SImon Bates?) Radio 1 sad listeners letter segment - even with that background music  they switch to some bangin' contemporary pop choons (sounds like they are searchin...

Re: Decent car YouTubes
Pretty much nothing happens in this vid - it's just a "dashcam" from 1985. 8-) Probably more interesting if you know Castleford, but it brought back real "being driven round by yer dad" memories. The creator clearly enjoyed doing this as they have uploaded several similar v...

Re: The ebay thread
"Have the windscreen, wiring etc. 90% there ready to be bolted together"
At first I read this as "90% ready" and assumed the zero exists only as a typo.
I now realise that he only has 90% of the parts that would needed to complete it.....
Do not want.

Pretty good explanation/anaylsis here. Could create an interesting 9-cylinder engine with this concept.......

Re: Jobbo interior
My Grandpa had a brown Austin Princess with that colour interior. I think the ribs used to go the opposite way on the side panels. Happy memories sitting on the fold down arm rest in the back of that 😎 Brilliant interior, absolutely love it. All the seperate parts of the seat make it work, if it wa...

Not expected to hit land (Florida) until Wednesday, and it’s “likely” to calm a little by then, but Milton is looking like quite a storm. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/crl8e084r9yo.amp (Twitter link, so immediate discussion around cloud seeding, chemtrails etc etc). https://twitter.com/nbergwx...

And @JonathanE sold his long ago, so we can't even pressure him to be (credibly) upset/confused/suspicious on our behalf.
