Just as well you added (ND) as I thought Gary Shocks had died. That would have been a sho... erm... surprise.

I'm thinking I could do with a second, or maybe even a third reverse gear too. Hopefully that'll be next. A lot of auto boxes have 2 reverse gears (Merc's 7 speed for example) :oops: i thought i was suggesting stoopidz. What is the second ratio for? Better mpg whilst cruising backwards? :?

No mate - i know how much you charge for that. And i dont want you facetiming me with the puppy howling either.

Seems even Ford think there are too many gears - it is programmed to do bulk upshifts where it deems appropriate.

Engine earth loose would give you completely-dead in my experience.

Starter solenoid (or power to the main circuit) more likely.

Why not ask the auto engineer you spoke to if he could take a look?
