Re: The Music Thread
Anyone got any decent gigs lined up to go see the end of this year?

Yeah I'd imagine the Eco ones might make a difference, but having said that, my Kuga PHEV came on Conti Eco Contact and is now on Premium Contacts and that's made no difference either, other than it actually has some wet grip now

Re: Your fleet running reports
My wife asked about winter tyres for the R5. I suspect the eco tyres wouldn’t be too great in snow and ice. But the car is too new for used alloys to be available on eBay yet.
Fortunately I was first to reply to a chap on a Facebook group who has replaced his wheels with aftermarket ones. So ...

First failure of the Golf.
Charging flap actuator has stopped actuating.
Email to the dealer, booked in for the day after, currently being served coffee for the morning whilst it's fitted.
Can't argue at that service, a lot to be said for having a newer, warrantied car, CBA with the messing ...

I'd just get the train Saturday morning, have a night out, cheap hotel, then pick car up Sunday and drive back.
Win win.

Autoelectro have always been my go to for recon alternators.
They've been going since the 80s and I've never had a problem with them, been buying off them for 20 years.

Looks like we have a Business Analyst role, Operational Risk Lead role, and some Underwriting Vacancies.
I can get details from someone and email you it if interested, not sure where they will be based.

They're massive fvcking cowboys.
Ive seen with my own eyes 120k of motorhome being rocked around on some kind of fork lift.
Went in for a water damage. Ingested only.
Ended up cat c, engine failure was literally the only issue prior to it arriving.

Once it's at copart it will be damaged, all cars are moved around on forklifts , regardless of state, damage, value etcs.

I'd love one of those A110s, I think they're a superb package.
Not sure what colour I'd go for though, I love the proper blue ones, but I followed a grey one with a big spoiler to Whitby earlier and it looked equally excellent.

Re: Your fleet running reports
I'd buy a 1.0 Ecoboost, if it had a proper documented service history, 100%.
It's not a bad engine, it just needs care more than most normal people would give it.
My XF never put a foot wrong engine wise, lots of stories about snapped crankshafts, spun main bearings etcs.
Its luck of the draw ...
