Re: Crap drivers pt138572

Only £100 fine. Shame. If anyone is looking for a proper Indian in London go to Punjab in Covent Garden. It’s authentic with large portions for London and very well priced for the area. It’s supposedly the first Punjabi restaurant in the UK so it has lots of history inside. I’ve been going frequent...

+1 for Gummi Pflege, I used it on the Mini and it worked a treat.

Re: Your fleet running reports

I've test driven a 5dr up GTi and the seats feel exactly the same as my friends 60hp base spec up. It felt like a well made, decent car, but so does the 60hp one, not special enough for me, which is a shame as I I really wanted to like it. New Swift Sport is next on list to try, if no good i'll have...

Re: Rev’s 1KRPM to the limiter in 3rd Fred

Not sure if I can keep the Volvo in 3rd from 1000 rpm due to its shit old autobox, but I get back to the uk at 5am sunday so I'll have a big old track to play with, managed to confirm the limiter was removed on my last journey home! And 0-150 took 32 - 33seconds ish which felt acceptable for an old ...

Re: No F1 thread?

I wish I followed F1, it's about a 3 hour drive from where I am!

I probably had more fun in Deep Ellum.though so I'm not too bothered.

Re: Your fleet running reports

Kia Stinger? I've got the 2yr itch and decided to have a change, my kids are getting bigger and with a second dog on its way ideally it needs to be 5 door. My mate has had a Tesla Model 3 Performance for a few weeks and it make great financial sense, it's rapid and practical but there's something mi...

Re: Book review thread

Midnight in Chernobyl is a good non fiction book, a proper account of what happened including survivor interviews, just finished it and i thought it was the best book I've read about what happened. If you like Joy Division or New Order get any of Peter Hooks Books, he really can write well, I think ...

Are you based in Dallas SSO?

Re: Interesting tow cars

What about an XC90 V8, I believe a certain member of this establishment used to have one.

Not sure if Mr Yu still has his or not, would probably make light work of a car trailer and sound quite nice whilst doing so.

www.towcar.info

Quite a good site for matching, can add any modifications to the car power/torque etcs into it as well.

Re: Your fleet running reports

So is the new Swift Sport, which was nice to drive, but a bit dull. Also the Swift felt quite bouncy on local roads, and it wasn't as much fun as the older one when pushing on. The new turbo engine isn't one which likes to be revved out, which is a bit against the character of the car, the Fabia eng...

Re: Your fleet running reports

Those Up GTis really do look rather good, 3 or 5 door? It would be a later Fabia with the more reliable engine, they all seem to use oil, but so did my Mini so I'm used to that. Only thing I think we would struggle with if we got an Up is the space, which sadly put an end to getting a C30 T5 as well...

Re: Your fleet running reports

I'd been contemplating a chopping the Evora in for a 400, or potentially an Exige V6 before I move house in 12-18 months. However, my VW Bora daily really is on its last legs, so I decided to spend the difference on a new daily hack instead. Ticking off a configuration I've not owned before, with a...

Also check the little flap on the ignition barrel isn't sticking (if it has one) as that can cause that to happen.

Last time I saw the Stone Rose's at the Etihad they had Public Enemy as their support, Public Enemy were far better than the Rose's were!
