Re: Decent Recent TV

3 body problem really enjoying this. Halfway through and it's keeping the story moving.

I remember the book being very interesting but also hard work, maybe because the writers perspective was so different.

How they'll adapt book 2 I have no idea.

It’s been shit since they tried being overly clever and made stuff far more complicated than they ever had to. Dave! Could have been finished by now if they'd just wanged a stack gauge cluster in it. There was a tipping point where the attention to detail and interesting solutions became dicking ab...

Really interesting to see the numbers behind a company trying to break into large scale manufacturing. "This feels quite long on corporate speak and platitudes" Caused me a slightly disquietened lol as I was thinking exactly that! "While the locations might be good for foot traffic, i...

Doontoo, much much epicness, kinda wish I gone to an IMAX screening.
Spoiler
Unsatisfied with the ending though, had distinct feelings of "to be continuederer" which I didn't think was really kosher given we'd already had that once already. Could've been a little shorter too

Re: The Movie Thread

That clip of the original Crow just reminded me how amazing the soundtrack is. Shall have to dig it out later, although Burn has never left my in-car playlist.

Trailer for the new one... I think we may have just seen all the highlights.

Nice palmares. But I had to google this one and I wish I hadn't. Ferrari Rainbow Maybe it made sense at the time ? Using one of those as a donor to make a Fiero replica would be a good upgrade. https://www.carrozzieri-italiani.com/wp-content/uploads/1976_Bertone_Ferrari_Rainbow_05.jpg Didn't that e...

Would be perfectly happy with a decently sized secluded property in Norfolk/Suffolk with a large barn / workshop. I’d keep several of the cars I already have but pay retropower to teach me how to restore them to better than original. Did you ever join one for the AS Motorsport open days near Bressi...

Walk into a showroom and buy anything Mid-engined V12 and manual. Can't think of any brand or age of vehicle in that spec I wouldn't immediately enjoy and probably want to keep forever.

Grim. Possible typo? "In fact, they shipped over 50% what would have been the expected Q4 demand based on the prior 3 quarters of 2023" should be "shipped 50% over"? With delays to their EV and Mid-engined car I can't see any reason to hope AML won't be completely left in the dust.

I've not watched Adventure Time but I think I should. "I remember you" Just. Brilliant. Fionna and Cake AT spinoff/multiverse/thing. Great stuff from the Adventure Time team, heavier going than the original with longer episodes and slower multi aspect story but two thirds of the way throu...

Yes, enjoyable but the sound is very poor isn’t it! Listening to it after Smith and Sniff makes it especially obvious and shows how it can be done much better I’m going to their live recording on Weds night. Really looking forward to it. I can confirm that Smith and Sniff was actually brilliant las...

1200BHP at the rear wheels... 1040BHP for Bathurst - another class of performance
Seemed that the monster speed down the straights wasn't matched with pace across the top though. The Mustang was back on his tail by Forest Elbow for half the race.

When too much V8 is never enough. Lovely. 8-) Passing at places I didn’t think was possible… he was so much faster through The Chase on both laps - epic final corner. Yeah it's great to see cars with such different strengths battle. Like that epic Civic V Commodore lap of a few years ago.

Very clean lap, flat at 300kph through The Chase at the end of Conrod I still find Skyline into the Esses - with its 3 distinct braking phases phases on of the trickiest corner sequences anywhere (on sim obvs). :geek: Funnily enough went to a mates place on Sunday who had setup Assetto Corsa with B...
