Re: HMRC Automated Phone System

And for me, I was handed a £6k bill. I spoke to them and argued the point but they just said,” I’m sure it’s right but if it’s wrong, it’ll bet sorted out next yet”

Next year, £7k rebate

Re: It’s time for another forum cycle/vehicle disagreement

I must confess I didn't know that the 2m rule applied, even if there is a designated cycle lane

Re: HMRC Automated Phone System

And if you do get through, they're useless as they cannot disseminate complex tax rules and regulations down into a language that Joe public can understand and will not tell you anything definitive for fear of misinforming you and leaving themselves open to challenge

Re: Coronavirus

I was sure I had it back in Feb but kept testing negative.

I could only get Nasal tests, rather than the throat and nose ones so I'm not altogether sure I was testing correctly.

Re: Woman

That sucks Ian but as Jobbo says, onwards and upwards.

How long were you seeing her for??

If it was a short enough period that a WhatsApp was an acceptable method then no harm, no foul.

If it was a longer period then WhatsApp is no way to do it so you’re better off in the long run.

I think Voyager 1 is also kaput now. Yes, sadly... https://blogs.nasa.gov/sunspot/2023/12/12/engineers-working-to-resolve-issue-with-voyager-1-computer/ Interestingly, as the Earth moves faster than the Voyager's, at the moment, Voyager 1 is actually getting closer to the earth... Reports of my dem...

Re: The House Projects Thread

I gave my garden shed a little TLC over the weekend with a new felt roof and new shelving. It's still far too small for my needs but at least it's dry. When clearing it out. I saw the extend of the leaking - I've lost a Dremel set, a Halfords ratchet set and a crate full of painting and decorating s...

Re: BBQs

Yeah but to be honest, every review I’ve read about benefits, pros and cons etc just talks in very general terms. And the few people I know who have them rave about this and that feature, claim the you don’t miss the things you can’t do etc. Makes me think they’re justifying the expense to themselves

Re: BBQs

I’m in the market for a decent quality Charcoal BBQ but the choices are really limited. There are the ceramic types, well north of a grand and you’ve got your Webber’s (but I already have one of those) An absolute must have feature is a coal rack or a cooking rack that’s height adjustable but as I s...

Whilst I applaud you ownership of 4 mowers, I’m not going to lie, I’d be paying someone to do it if I had your place.

Re: Petrol Honda mowers

Do you do all the fiddly bits first, like cutting in paint, then use the ride-on for the broad sweeps ??

I think that's the way I'd do it...

And how many times do you need to empty the ride on for that garden? I presume you have several Green Bins ?
