Footage shared on social media shows large plumes of black smoke billowing into the sky near the A460 Orbital Island in Cannock with 10 fire engines rushing to the scene at 6:15am. Staffordshire Fire and Rescue Service said the fire started at Super Smart Services – a distribution warehouse “which ...

Re: Dogecoin etc

By BIL actually met someone who's made genuine real world money on BitCoin at his Martial Arts DoJo Not sure when he got in or got out but he bought a load and then sold it and was able to buy his house outright and mortgage free with the profits. I was beginning to think these people didn't exist. ...

Re: It’s time for another forum cycle/vehicle disagreement

A cyclist hit a pedestrian.

It is, therefore, the cyclist's fault.

End of discussion.

Re: It’s time for another forum cycle/vehicle disagreement

I suppose that's my point - if now, cyclists are entitled to cycle wherever they are legally allowed to be and no matter what the circumstances, it a car happens to be in that same space, it's automatically the Car's fault, then yeah, lots of junctions are going to need to change. Or else extend the...

Re: It’s time for another forum cycle/vehicle disagreement

Looking at that, I'd suggest that in order to have a clear view of oncoming cyclists, especially if it's a Van or 4x4 letting you out, you would already need to most of the way across the road before you'd have that clear view. Although the perspective of google maps view might distort things. And t...

I think the Mini was turning right, not left  After 18 years, my secret identity has been revealed... https://www.bigissue.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/07/Jimmy_Hero.jpg I see your point though. However, if I'm in the Mini and begin my turn right then try to inch forward until I can see c...

Re: It’s time for another forum cycle/vehicle disagreement

Driver definitely at fault but the cyclist kept to the inside of the curve and didn’t help themselves. How should the Mini driver have avoided this accident? - they're making a, presumably, legal left turn, they don't seem to be driving with any significant speed. The amount of time between when th...

When I visit my friends in Stirling, the local Indian Takeaway has Chicken Nugget Balti and Puzza Naan…

So perhaps our Scottish brethren aren’t the benchmark for good Indian food… ;)

Re: HMRC Automated Phone System

The incompetence is mind boggling..

During my "Massive Bill, sorry, here's a Massive Refund" debacle, received 5 different letters saying I owed £x and on the same day, I would log onto the HMRC site to be told I owe £y. Never matched and never equal to the amount I had to pay...

I get why these are popular but not for me. I like a bit of marbling but there's just too much fat on those for my taste.

We have a plague of these sorts around here - a bunch of 20 year olds on 4 wheelers and "pure off road" 2 stroke scramblers flying around the place at all hours - they use the paths, they use the Red Ways, regularly 2 up with no helmets etc. Everyone knows who they are, everyone knows wher...
